I have a Solia 1 1/4" from 2007. I am thinking about buying a 1 inch some time in the future, but I need to know if the models have floating plates now or not. A friend of mine has a Solia that was bought more recently (around 2009) and it has floating plates, which I don't want. My plates do not float. Can anyone help out?
