I used it without any styling products in my hair... did great, then i used some another time around... did even better, I only wish it came with their hair brush. Sedu To The RescueThis has been the second day of using this Sedu Xti Ultrapower hair dryer. It left my hair so nice. Although I dont quite have a styling brush yet, so Im using my on the go hair brush by Conair. When I do get a styling brush, its going to be so much nicer. This hair dryer leaves my hair silky and its bouncy and full, and will get better as to when its used with a styling brush. I had to only give it 4 stars because I cant really say its the best, unless I have tried every hairdyer on the market, also, it left it a little frizzy, nothing a better brush cant fix . I will have to see. As far as Im concerned, this is way better then my old Conair hair dryer that was $13, it was an emergency hair dryer until i found a better one. I also had a T3 hair dryer but that didnt work out. However, I do have to say, this Sedu hair dryer is done a pretty well job, I have fine hair thats wavy and a lot of it. This hair dryer has turned my layered wavy locks into head turning locks with some nice piecey long layers I do really like my new Sedu Xti Ultrapower hair dryer, I really hope it sticks with me for a while. Just wish i could get their Sedu hair brushes. :( I will say its worth the money.posted Nov 12, 2008Link to this post -

Beware Of ControlsI purchased this hairdryer 18 months ago. It has excellent drying power. When holding the dryer and moving around the head, its very easy to flip the buttons and turn the dryer off. This happens repeatedly when holding the dryer by the handle/grip. Control button placement would be better, perhaps, on the back side of the handle. I would not purchase this dryer again for this reason, although it dries quickly and efficiently.posted Oct 7, 2008Link to this post

Made A Believer Out Of MeI am an ultra clearance shopper and have never considered paying over $30 for a hair dryer, let alone $140. However, I ordered a Sedu flat iron a few months previous and really love it. I heard from my hairstylist that its really the hair dryer that damages a persons hair, so after much debate, I decided to try to Sedu hair dryer (to go along with my flat iron). I must admit, its pretty amazing. My hair is naturally wavy - you know, the "in between" style...not too curly, but not really straight, either - and this hair dryer makes it so smooth and silky. I still do touch ups with my flat iron, but there are many times I just blow dry and go. It seems totally insane to pay $140 for a hair dryer, but I must admit, Ill do it again once this one wears out.posted Aug 25, 2008Link to this post

Surprised!I have had problems in the past with my hair getting very dry on the ends and feeling course. I have thick Wavy medium lenght hair, I was getting so tired of everytimeI leave the salon my hair would be nice shiny and managable, but as soon as I washed and dried it would be back the same way. I was not so sure about putting this much money into buying a hair dryer since I tried my sisters T-3 which made my hair really flat and badly damaged. T-3s are very hot but dry quickly. After a year I decide to try the sedu. I am very happy and my hair looks like I stepped out of a salon every day it is shiny and managable with no dry ends. This hair dryer is wonderful and worth every penny I spent on it. The only down part about it is it only has 2 heat settings medium and Hight heat and oh yes a cool shot. there are also only 2 speed setting off is not a setting. To my suprise I am able to use High heat on a high setting and it does not damage my hair. I am definely sold on this product!!!!posted Aug 13, 2008Link to this post

I Really Like It!Like many others, I was reluctant to fork over such a hefty sum for a hair dryer. I carefully read reviews of many dryers on folica and amazon before I finally took the plunge. I must say, I am very happy with this dryer. It does seem to cut some time off my morning hair routine, and leaves it feeling less "fried" than my Babyliss dryer did. My hair does feel sleeker and less frizzy. I still use a straightening iron, but with this dryer, I think I could actually leave my house without doing so. I actually received my Sedu dryer very quickly after ordering it, and immediately left for vacation in July in the Caribbean. This type of humidity would be a true test for any dryer, and the Sedu performed splendidly. My hair did not get frizzy, even after a mild rainstorm!! That convinced me it was worth my investment. For the record, I also used a GHD IV iron. I cant give this dryer five stars, because I do still feel the need to straighten my hair with an iron, and I dont think it dried my hair as fast as advertised. I cant speak to the longevity of the dryer, since Ive only had mine for a week. I also do not feel this dryer is too heavy.posted Aug 4, 2008Link to this post

Quiet, Fast, And Frizz FreeI read pages of comments before ordering this hair dryer and decided to give it a try. My hair is fine and naturally wavy/curly and frizzes in the hot Florida air. I was amazed at how healthy my hair looked after using it the first time. The dryer is ergonomically made making it easy to hold and style at the same time. I am not a hair dresser. I plan on keeping this purchase, although more exensive than I would ever expect to pay for a hair dryer, but well worth the money. Excellent quality and results.posted Jul 19, 2008Link to this post

Poorly MadeAfter only one month of use this dryer began to emit a strong burning smell, and shortly after the "low" setting on it completely stopped working. My Hair Felt Great But...The first time I used it my hair felt great. The second time, the fan went into high (I cant style on high) and would not go back into low, even though the switch was on the low setting. I have the labels to send it back to exchange, but it took an e-mail (no response) and a phone call, then a few days to e-mail me the shipping label. Im looking forward to getting it exchanged because my hair really did feel healthier. Folica did respond and they have been very nice about it, it just took a little longer than it should have. Excellent, Light Weight But PowerfulI own a Chi Rocket as well as the Sedu and love them both. They both work fast and do wonders to my hair. The Sedu as compared is lightweight does not get as hot so I expect, it would be better for finer hair. Ever since the first time I started using it, my hair looks so much better, healthier and more lusterous, I never again, wish to use a non-professional dryer. I am able to take the Sedu with me when I travel, as it is light enough to carry, and now, I always have great looking hair.
