Best Hair Dryer Ever!!! I Am Buying Second One For Gym Bag!I was really reluctant at first to spring the money for a $150+ hairdryer. I thought, "Seriously??? How much better could it be?" Well, let me tell you that I have owned by Sedu hairdryer for over a year now and cannot ever go back to the others. This hairdryer smooths my hair, has a LOT of blowing power (not like the other common varieties that you can find anywhere) and cuts my drying time in HALF. I have a lot of hair - it's frizzy, curly, unruly and a few inches below shoulder-length. It used to take me an hour just to blow dry it and then would have to straighten it. Now, it takes me about 1/2 that time to blow dry it in sections and I don't have to work as much using my straightening iron after. I love this dryer so much that I am done with the frustration of using the hairdryers at my fitness club and will be springing another $150 just to put one in my gym bag. Not Hot Enough!This will blow dry your hair in a pretty good time although I didn't notice too much of a difference than my cheapy Conair one. It left my hair somewhat softer, I do admit. However, it wasn't hot enough for my personal taste. I blow dry my bangs to the side and this just wasn't hot enough to do anything to hold the style. Even after holding my round brush in my bangs for 30 seconds afterwards, there was no difference. Its not warm enough if you are into waves or volume. Good ResultsI was very apprehensive about spending so much money on something that in theory only blows hot air at you, but after blow drying my hair twice with my new sedu, I am thinking it was a good choice to have splurged. I never even blow dried my hair; I would just rely on my flat iron after air drying my hair. Yet, since my hair is very thick and wavy, the results always looked stiff and not smooth. With the sedu though, I got smooth, straight hair. Even after a day on a boat, my hair did not frizz up and remained nice and smooth. I tested it next to my Conair and the sedu sounds much smoother and more powerful and also does not scald my skin when I held it up to it, unlike the conair. The only cons I can think of are that the button set up is a little clumsy and will take some time getting used to, and that since the dryer is smaller, without the attachment it feels a little heavy but it's only because all the weight is concentrated on the small body of it. The Best Blow Dryer Ever!I bought this blow dryere because it was the only one that said it was for damaged hair. My hair is actually very healthy and I would like for it to stay that way. I am mixed and my hair is very thick and curly, this blow dryer did wonders! I didnt even need to flat iron it afterward (I also have the Sedu flat iron). I invited my cousin over to do her hair she said her hair has never felt so soft. And it gives amazing shine. I also used it on my son, his hair is also very long (about 22 inches) and curly. It took a totla of 2.5 hrs to do his hair it usually takes about 5hrs. I totally recomend this blow dryer to any one with dry curly hair!posted Oct 11, 2011Link to this post

Does Not Get Hot Enough!My fhi nano heat died recently so after doing tons of research, I decided to get this Sedu (also highly recommended at Ulta) and I was really disappointed. I have long, fine hair but lots of it, and my ceramic brushes would not get hot enough using this product. I agree with the other reviews about the odd location of the cool button. Not Right For Me...I wanted to upgrade my drugstore brand hair dryer (a Conair) to a professional hair dryer, and after reading all of the great reviews about the Sedu I decided to give it a try. I'm sure its a great hair dryer for some, but it just wasn't right for me. I found the Sedu to be too small and heavy for it's size... it just didn't feel as comfortable to use as my old, regular-sized dryer. It also left my wavy/slightly-curly hair in a tangled, dry mess, and I found myself wishing there was a middle speed and temperature option to use. I also found the buttons to be inconveniently placed, as it was easy to accidentally change the settings just by holding the dryer. The cool-shot button was also difficult to keep holding down. I sent my Sedu back yesterday and will be exchanging it for the Elchim 2001 Profesional Dryer. Close To PerfectI've been using the Sedu Revolution Pro Tourmaline Ionic 4000i Hair Dryer (sheesh, what a long name) for about 3 months now. I originally ordered another hair dryer on folica but was disappointed so after acknowledging that the Sedu have 500+ reviews, I decide to try it myself.
I am absolutely in love with it. Each time I blow dry my hair with the Sedu, my hair comes out looking like I got it style from a Salon. I've even received a couple compliments from friends thinking I got a new haircut. I have a full set of hair, so it can take me up to 15 minutes blow drying my hair, but with the Sedu, it cut my drying time in half. Now, I didn't notice any improvements on the quality of my hair, maybe slightly softer, however it could be the products I use on my hair. I think that's the purpose of the Sedu, it gives you the great hair style without further damaging your hair.
I like the look of the dryer, how it's sleek and matte.
I like how the ionic button can be turned off. It gives the user an option of wanting their hair less frizz or more volume.
Although I love the result I get from the Sedu, I think there are some improvements they can do on the Sedu. It's a little heavy for a blow dryer. I know i know, but they packed tourmaline, ionic, and ceramic feature all in one. But luckily it cuts drying time in half, or else my wrist will start hurting if i have to hold the dryer for 15-25 minutes.
There's only 2 setting for heat, setting one is perfect heat for my hair and I think setting two is unbearable sometimes (too hot).
I wish it came with a diffuser for curly hair. Overall, Sedu 4000i is definitely a great hair dryer to invest in.

Big Things In Small PackagesWhen I first saw this in the box, my immediate thought was "oh my god, it's TINY." I was pretty skeptical but when i turned it on, it really packed a punch.
