No Ion OptionMy hair is baby fine and ion charge leaves my hair flat, limp, and disgusting looking, which is why I selected this dryer -- for the option to turn it off. Option off, my hair was still extremely ionized, more so with all the other ion dryers I've purchased, so I cannot imagine what it would do if I selected the ion option. Too Much Of EverythingI purchased the Sedu Revolution Pro Tourmaline Ionic 4000i Hair Dryer based on the rating and reviews. When I received the dryer, the negative reviews that I had read were accurate. The dryer weighs a lot for its size and the weight is not distributed well making it top heavy. Once I got over the initial weight adjustment, I prepared my hair for drying and turned it on. The blast is way too powerful. I had to set it on low for it just to be manageable. I use a large round brush and paddle brush when drying my hair section by section. The blast was so powerful that it blew the hair right off the grip of the bristles when the hair was not pulled tight on the brush. My hair became a tangled mess similar to when riding with the windows down or top down in a convertible. I'm sure if you just want to dry your hair at the gym in a flash it will dry your hair. However, it does not allow you to control the styling due to the annoyance of the weight and the power of the air flow. Unfortunately, I had to return the dryer after one use. Awesome Blow DryerI could never find a blow dryer that worked efficiently and wouldn't make my hair super frizzy. I have very long thick hair and this blow dryer allows me to do my hair in 15 minutes and it is never frizzy even when I don't use product in my hair. Best Christmas Gift Yet!This hair dryer is a life saver. I was getting so frustrated with blowing outmy hair then using a flat iron only to have dry, damaged and puffy hair. Now, I can dry my hair in half the time and my layers are defined and so soft. Amazing Results For The Whole Family!!!I had a Sedu Revolution for 2 years. It was used for my four girl's hair and occasionally my son's as well as my own. It died at 2 years when some internal housing got loose, but we got a lot of mileage and always amazing results. Tames frizzies, creates beautiful, shiny and healthy hair. I had also bought a Solia hairdryer at the same time as the Sedu and had noticed less than amazing results every time and so rarely used it compared to the Sedu. I have been using the Solia for a year now and hair does not have the same health and shine for any of our hair. I will have to say I preferred drying our hair to air drying (not previously the case) with the Sedu because our hair never looked better. Even my husband loved to dry the girl's hair because it was so beautiful and we used to get compliments all the time!!! We are going back!posted Jan 2, 2012Link to this post

Not What I ExpectedI bought this because it was on sale at about 1/2 price and could not pass up the "deal". I was very excited when the dryer arrived--it has a very cool look and is compact and great to handle. It has two speeds, two heat settings, and a cold shot button--pretty standard , nothing fancy. You can turn off and on the ion switch, a feature I really do like. The Sedu comes with two different sized concentrators. My biggest disappointment with the dryer is that it does not get as hot as it should even on the top speed.and heat settings. It is about like the low or medium heat on another dryer. I have thick hair that tends to frizz, so the heat setting takes longer to dry my hair. The ion feature, however, does a great job of straightening my hair and reducing frizz. Since I got the Sedu at a reduced price, I am not as disappointed as I would be if I had paid the full price. I would send it back if I paid the regular purchase price. The Absolutle Best Blow Dryer!I got my sedu when I started working at my first salon, and it was a requirement to have one. I got it and instantly fell in love! I've been using the sedu now for a year and a half and still think it is the best out there! It's great for packin up and traveling with or even takin home and back to the salon the next day (this is what I do). It also smooths the hair better then a flat iron can! Which for all you hair dressers out there...you know that is a time saver! I wouldn't use any other tool on my clients! They love their blow outs! It is a bit heavy to use all day but I got used to it fast. The result are well worth it! It makes the hair incredibly shiny! Also the cool shot button on the product gets extremely cold which seals the hair strand and holds it in place!
