LjbHairBlondeNormal HairDry HairColor Treated HairThick or Coarse HairChemically Treated HairUse The Hotel Dryer; It Will Work Better. As far as I'm concerned, the benefits of using a professional travel dryer are supposed to be that 1. it works faster than the hotel dryer, and 2. makes one's hair shiny and/or less frizzy than the hotel dryer. The Sedu Ionic Travel Dryer offered neither benefit and actually, I think the hotel dryer might have worked faster. It took forever to dry my hair and I found my locks frizzy and unmanageable afterwards.
I'm returning it and going back to my T3 travel dryer. There's absolutely no contest between them.posted Apr 14, 2011Link to this post -
GinelleCaliforniaHairBlackCurly HairThick or Coarse HairRelaxed HairSedu, You Neglected One Important Feature Of A Travel Dryer..Ok, so I have thick curly hair that has been relaxed many times and I love Sedu products. I have a 4" Sedu flat iron from Folica that has lasted for 3 years and is still going strong! However, I bought this hair dryer so that I could take it to Europe with me to tame the beast that is my hair only to find out that it is NOT DUAL VOLTAGE! Who makes a travel dryer that isn't dual voltage. I'm not going to buy a travel dryer just for travelling in the US and slumber parties, I'll take my regular dryer if I want to do that!
My friend had a voltage converter, which I thought would save the day, but unfortunately it is only for small things like electric shavers and toothbrushes and the wattage of a hair dryer would have made it explode! I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to tell everyone who was curious about the dual voltage like I was, to pick a different travel dryer.
Interesting that the Sedu mini travel flat iron (1") IS dual voltage though. I'm hoping my bangs looked so good, that no one payed attention to what was going on with the rest of my head. I returned this dryer as soon as I got back stateside.posted Dec 28, 2010Link to this post -
Tracy S.HairFine or Thin Hair4 Stars For Me....This travel dryer gets four stars for me. Pros: lightweight, and easy to pack. Cons: doesn't have a whole lot of power, so if you have thick hair it may take awhile to dry. I will say this - it's much better than any of the hair dryers you find included at most hotels. I would have given this a five it had a little more power.posted Oct 24, 2010Link to this post

Kathryn G.Portland, OregonHairMedium BrownNormal HairGreat For Travel!A great little hair dryer....easy to hold and handle getting ready to go on a trip so I tested it out first. Dries hair quickly....easy fold and packing for travel. No more packing of large dryer or using those awful dryers at the hotels and resorts.posted Sep 28, 2010Link to this post

KatieHairLight BrownOily HairFine or Thin HairChemically Treated HairPerfect Travel Hair Dryer!I love this hair dryer!! It's a travel hair dryer so it's small and folds for storing. I have fine frizzy hair that is a little below my shoulders. This blow dryer dries my hair so fast and cuts down on a ton of frizz. Only thing I didn't like was I thought there were two speeds settings and two heat settings, but it's actually combined into two settings low heat low speed and high heat high speed. Not a big deal, just slightly disappointing. For an everyday hair dryer you are better off spending a little more for a full size dryer, but if you often travel or stay at friend's houses like I do then it's worth the money!posted Aug 31, 2010Link to this post

EmilyFlorida, USAHairDark BrownCurly HairThick or Coarse HairTraveling In The Convenient Way!I got this for free with my new sedu straightener and I really like both of these products. I have thick, curly, and long hair and this hair dryer is pretty good for the size. I would never pay for the travel dryer, but this item is very convenient. It curves in to be more compact so in total it is good to travel with. I wish it blew blew more then the high, but think of it this way-which is better the blow dryer in a hotel/motel or this sedu product?posted Jul 15, 2010Link to this post

Kel B.Long Island, NyHairMedium BrownColor Treated HairIt Can Be UsefulI love my sedu hair dryer so when they offered this with my purchase, it was nice. I used my friend's mini chi hair dryer and it was ok. I am not sure I would ever really use any mini even if i travel cause i like a little more. It is cute and gets the job done. For a little one, it has enough heat power to dry your hair nicely and it's perfect if you need to travel light.posted Jul 10, 2010Link to this post

MaraDominican RepublicHairDark BrownDry HairCurly HairVery Good Product. Fits Its Purposes.I got it with the recent offer from the site and I'm glad I got it for free... It's one of those little things that you really like but just wouldn't pay for.
It's very lightweight and for its travelling purposes it's really good (would never replace my bigger Sedu dryer). It heats EXTREMELY WELL and the cord has a nice length, not too long but not too short. I'm a bit bummed that it doesn't bring a carrying case but what can I do.
The only reason why I give it 4 stars is because for me, it might as well only have an ON/OFF switch since the LOW setting blows little air, not even close enough to something useful but on HIGH it works very well. I was able to do my hair with it without any problems and i have a soft curly hair.
I would recommend this for anyone with my type of hair for straight or wavy hair, but I'm sure it would be useless for styling someone with thicker curls or even kinky curls.posted Jul 10, 2010Link to this post
