Laura H.This Hair Dryer Is AwesomeMy stylist swears by this dryer. She has convinced me to purchase one of my own. After she dries my hair it is smoother and silkier then I can make it with a straight iron. She keeps telling me it is the hair dryer. So I will purchase one even if it is pricey and only lasts a year because I have very very thick hair that is difficult to style and control. If my hair looks good, I feel good.posted Jul 15, 2011Link to this post

MarkHairBlondeFine or Thin HairDude ReviewOK, so my wife needed a new hairdryer so I asked my stylist for a recommendation which led to my purchase of the Centrix. My stylist is very busy and has been using this dryer for over 3 years (my wife's old hairdryers have lasted less than half that long - just doing her hair once/day). My wife is loving this hairdryer - very hot and very powerful (talking about the hairdryer here, but true of my wife as well) and I love it because it produces about 1/3rd of the noise of her past dryers. Really happy with this purchase.posted Jan 31, 2011Link to this post

M J Quamsame as the rest after only 1 year of using, almost clock work the cool blew and don't work any more. Only good for drying your hair fast. Alot to spend on just one year of use.posted May 4, 2010Link to this post

IreneUnhappyI bought a centrix 5000 dryer two years ago this past Christmas and Saturday the motor burned out! Thats alot of money for two years of service. I'm the only one that used it and I house it on a hook, taking good care of it. I'm very disappointed principally because it wasn't cheap.posted Feb 22, 2010Link to this post

ValerieCarrollton, OH, USAFantastic, But Wish It Lived LongerThese dryers are fantastic to use....they just don't have a long enough life! Super-Powerful air stream, the high heat is very hot, and the low heat is just right. Problem is, my first one lasted only two weeks before it actually sparked flames through the rear intake opening...scared me to death. The replacement one performed beautifully, but lasted just over a year---yes, just long enough to void the warranty. wow. perfect timing :) For this much money, it's not worth it. Even one more year would have helped.posted Dec 14, 2009Link to this post

Mary AmandaFailureIt is great to begin with, but after 6 months something goes wrong. Speeds do not work, stuck on high. Electrical sparking. Not worth it.posted Nov 13, 2009Link to this post

StevenLa Habra CA USA7 Years!I have been a hair stylist for 7 years now. My first day as a proffesional I bought the Centrix 5000 hair dryer. Quickly I discovered that blow drying was a passion! I have a huge blow-dry clientel....many of my clients come in once a week for this service! It is amazing to me that I have been using this same dryer this whole time, and the thing just keeps on ticking without missing a beat! Without a doubt, my bessed investment yetposted Sep 2, 2009Link to this post

LacyNew YorkAmazing!Working in a professional hair salon, I have not found any other dryer that compares to this one. It is so powerful and cuts my drying time way down. I also can not believe how smooth my hair is after drying! I will never use another dryer.. ever! Worth every penny!!posted Jun 20, 2009Link to this post

AnonymousThe Secret To My Happiness!I first used this at my cousins house and couldnt believe how smooth my hair came out...intantly I was in love. It doesnt cut down on drying time, but if you have super thick hair that can get very frizzy when not dried thoroughly like I do then you wont be disappointed. A little pricey, but worth the investment.posted Oct 22, 2008Link to this post
