The Absolute Best Dryer Ever!Women of color....this is the dryer for you! By far this is the best blow dryer that I have ever had. For the first time ever, I can dry my hair by myself. I have very course, kinky, natural hair which falls to the middle of my back (when straight of course). This dryer allows me to dry my hair within 20 minutes without over drying. Usually with dryers with the comb attachment, the comb gets super hot when drying your hair and you cant touch it. Not with this dryer! This dryer has made drying hair a snap. Not Just One But 2 While It Lastedmy sister in law and i both bought our rockets at the same time. we both loved how hot this dryer stayed and it drying our hair in lightening time! A a few months after, my sis in laws rocket burned out. i thought "haha" mines great!.. about a month later, my rocket sparked up and blew out too. there was like a piece that rattled around on the inside for the right before the burn out. Chi Rocket DryerHad this dryer for over one year, I use it twice a week. First time i had it I was very pleased it dryed my hair faster and made it smooth, I have curly hair. Good Dryer With Reliability Problems.I am a professional stylist. The Chi Rocket was awesome at first. I loved the power and heat. I had to be skillful about not scorching my clients scalps because it was pretty darn hot. It dried most peoples hair very quickly, and added lots of smoothness and shine. The dryer blew up after a few months of use. I replaced it, and the replacements subsequently blew up shortly thereafter. Granted, I used the blow-dryer all day, every day, but I still feel like I didnt get much use from it. I think its a great drier for at-home use, but for salon use, it doesnt last long enough.posted Jul 26, 2008Link to this post -
Heavy Duty User
Way Overpriced...I am a heavy duty dryer user. I have owned many dryers over the years. My CHI ROcket, burned out after 2 month. I open it up ( I fix them up myself ) just to discover: really poor components. Does The Job But Hot...I love the fact that this dryer dries the hair very quickly but it is so hot when used on the high heat setting... My clients have complained about it burning their scalps... It's OkThe Chi Rocket Professional hair dryer is jsut ok. it didnt seem to dry my hair any faster than a $30 hair dryer. I would reccomend getting a less expensive har dryer with just as many watts becasue I think its the watt counts that matter and not the brand.posted May 2, 2008Link to this post
