The blow dryer shot out flames while i was blowdrying someones hair. The blowdryer is 5 months old. I asked for a new one and was told no,than i asked for a full refund so that i could by a new blowdeyer that works and they still refused, blaming the problem on me. Not Worth The $$$I am on my 3rd Chi dryer in 2 years the first one lasted about 13 months blew cold air only, returned to Farouk paid $35 and they sent me a new one exactly 14 months later same thing ! Sent another $35 they sent me another new dryer recieved it today lets see how long this one lasts!!!! Thats a total of $170 !!! I Did Like It While It Lasted:(Well I did love this dryer for the time it worked for me. I got it for Christmas 2008 and about 5 months ago it started smoking and sounding like the fan was hitting something inside and was going to explode. My husband opened it up and somehow fix it...temporarily. He's had to do that for me for the past 5 months every 3rd time I use it, mind you I only use it for 10 minutes tops at a time. It just doesnt work anymore and I'm sick of dealing with its problems:( I really wish it worked longer but it was not made very well. I cant believe they charge $150 when h.tools is $40 and does the same thing, Ion drying and all. Oh well, I know better for next time. But on another more positive note, the straightener I have from Chi is wonderful!posted Dec 28, 2009Link to this post

The Best Hairdryer I've Ever Bought!I recently bought the chi pro hairdryer and I love it! I've been through TONS of differnt kinds of hairdryers and this one is the best one i've ever had by far. I have very thick hair and this hairdryer has cut my drying time in half. It leaves my hair very smooth and not as frizzy as my last dryer. Not Worth It For This MoneyI had mine just over a year. It did the same as other reviewers, started smoking and then the motor sounded like it was going to explode. Called Farouk and they said I could get it fixed for $35 plus the shipping there and back. I told them no thanks, I'll use that money towards a hair dryer that will work for longer than a year. My mother in law has a hair dryer she bought for 30 at walmart and has had it for 5 years and it works fine. I expected better from CHI for the price (over $100 when I bought it).
