Lies!!! All Lies!!!Had one of these, worked fine for a while then just died which isnt too surprising for CHI products. This was the last straw, not buying anything from them again, they're just an expensive brand name.
I mean, you can tell from the description of the product, "penetration of the silk molecules to the hair" I mean...REALLY? That's ridiculous!

One Of The Worst Blow Dryers...This blow dryer is totally not worth the money! I have had it for little over a year and already the heating element has gone. I only use it once a day or every other day and it should not break that quickly, especially for the price it cost!!

Looks Good, Doesnt LastI have never written a review, however in this case I have to. This dryer has serious chord issues. First the protective plug which covers the opening from the chord to the wire will dislodge, and all attempts to push it back into place will fail. Shortly thereafter, the wire chord will literally singe, smoke, burn and smolder, until you rip it from the outlet in a huge panic hoping to avoid a fire. Lasting Only 4 Months Is Not A Good Hair Dryer!My hairdresser uses this dryer and likes it, so I bought my first expensive, professional dryer. After 4 months it stopped blowing out hot/warm air and only blew really cool air...that's a problem. Sometimes before that it would take it awhile to blow hot air. Was Good While It LastedI had this dryer for a few years, and it was definitely superior to any of the lower-end dryers I've owned before. However, it suddenly died (3 years of regular use) and only blows cold air. I'm not sure what the typical life of a hairdryer is supposed to be, but I expected more. Then again, my Chi straighter tended to die pretty quickly, too, so maybe I shouldn't be too surprised. Really Like ItI have had my chi for about 3 months now. I really like it. It dries my hair super fast, and it is less frizzy. I have long hair, and its wavy. My hair is medium thickness. Not Very Impressed With Chi!I got a CHI hairdryer for my birthday 3 months ago and I only use it 3-4 times a week. I went to use it this morning and it was blowing cold air. You would think that spending almost 200.00 on a hairdryer that it would last longer than 3 months. I wil not be buying another one. Great Dryer!!!I've had 2 Turbo dryers for at least 6 years. I've had warranty work on one. I kept the cord folded too tightly at the base & caused it to short, but that was my fault. I'm surprised to hear so many problems from people. Chi has a great warranty on their products, unfortunately if you don't buy them from right place you void the warranty. So, you kinda get what you pay for. I've heard that the really cheap ones you can find on line can be refurbished. I don't know that for sure though. If you get this dryer from a place where the warranty is honored you might pay a little more...... but if anything goes wrong you're taken care of.posted Oct 24, 2010Link to this post
