SwatimisraLos Angeles, CABest Dryer To Use For Healthy HairHi there! I never post reviews but I LOVE this hairdryer! I have normal to fine ethnic hair (Im 26, Indian, and female)... while my hair grows quickly it tends to be oily at the scalp and dry at the roots and can loose its shine quickly... not with this dryer! I travel a lot for work (internationally as well) and with the aid of a source plug adapter, have had no problems... a lot of products have built in adapters but I never wanted to take the risk so I bought an adapter that plugs into the wall and which i then plug my appliances into (inexpensive, off of Amazon.com) -- this way i know im not going to have a problem using my device (which i just leave in my regular travel suitcase) and im not going to short anything b/c it has a built in surge protector -- PROBLEM SOLVED.My stylist loves the bio ionic line and suggested I look into it after I asked why my hair didnt have the same shine when i blow dried it at home -- I did and my hair is super healthy, super shiny and very very soft! also, I love that the diffuser has "teeth" so it slides along right behind your hairbrush and I think this is why I have so few frizzies and flyaway hairs now! I also have not experienced the same dryness of my hair and significantly reduced breakage which I feel changed dramatically when I started using this product (which I use every to every other day)Products also make a HUGE difference -- I was a B&B girl for a long time but I tried Pureology and was in love! I just the super straight (blue bottles) and the clarifying shampoo & moisturizing mask conditioner once every week or two! Their styling lotion (yellow bottle) is awesome, as well as their straightening gel. Also try Schwarzoff "Sealed Ends" which is sort of like a leave in conditioner but smells great, makes your hair super soft without any added weight and !!! as Im a gym/pool regular really prevented breakage. side note, I have sensitive acne prone skin that reacts to products easily but these are great for me!Im trying out their brushes next!posted Aug 17, 2010Link to this post

TamaraGrass Valley, CANot ReliableI've purchased 3 different dryers by Bio Ionic and 2 had mechanical problems with first use. Luckily, they have a good return policy.posted Jan 24, 2010Link to this post

Mary KRaleigh, NC USABig Impact, Small Package!Just recently purchased this dryer because I have the Bio-Ionic flat iron and love it. I decided to try their Travel Pro Dryer, as I travel frequently, and have had a problem finding a powerful yet compact hair dryer. This dryer meets and exceeds my expectations. It feels sturdy and solidly built, yet weighs next to nothing. The air flow definitely feels like more than 1200 watts, The power control switch doesn't accidentally change on you while you hold the dryer (a frequent problem for me with other models), yet moves with ease when needed. The handle rotates to fold up for storage or packing, making it nice and compact. Dries my thick and naturally curly hair in no time at all and leaves it soft and static-free. This dryer is a winner...a big impact in a small package.posted Dec 22, 2009Link to this post

EnbHealthy Hair IndeedThis dryer is quite impressive.I am african american, with natural mid back length unprocessed hair. My texture is a crazy frizzy mix of 3b and 4c. I enjoy my huge afro, but i like to wear my hair straight in the winter time to prevent split ends from the wind. Pros: Actually left my hair feeling conditioned as promised. No broken hairs left in my sink, comb, or brush. Cons: Could be made out of a more durable material, the dryer is housed in the normal blowdryer plastic-y shell. Cord could be longer. Dryer could have more power (but hey its a 1200 watt, what did i expect) All in all its a great dryer, it does what it says it will do. I just wish it was designed to be more sturdy like the velecta paramounts that last 20 years! I would invest in the powerlight or nano 5x if you like a stronger blast from your dryer. Hope it lasts me a while...ill keep my fingers crossed.posted Dec 16, 2009Link to this post

Nicole PNew York, NYExcellent For Travel And HomeI purchased this dryer to use on a 3 month trip to Paris. I thought it did a wonderful job. My thin but frizzy hair was dried quickly with minimum frizzing. The dryer folds for easy travel and although I default to my super solano for home use (more power) this serves in a pinch when I am packing my bags for a trip. The only complaint that I have is the attachment to the front of the blowdryer no longer fits snugly onto the dryer head and so Im not able to use this. But even without the attachment, this blowdryer is a great purchase and I am glad I invested in it. Ive used it again recently for a 3 month trip to the Netherlands and I had no problems at all. Highly recommended.posted Apr 12, 2009Link to this post

Happy Hair GirlFort Worth TexasAmazing The Only Dryer You'll NeedI bought this because I needed a good travel dryer for my thick hard to dry often frizzy hair. I am so impressed. Its better than any full size dryer Ive used. My hair looks shiny and smooth and stays smooth on a rainy da too. I will be using this at home and away. small and light weight and has cut my drying time to about 12min from close to 30.posted Apr 17, 2008Link to this post

AnonymousNew JerseyGreat Travel DryerI travel quite a bit, domestically and internationally and I have stayed at a variety of hotels - from moderate to top of the line. The one thing they all have in common is horrible hair dryers that leave your hair dry, dull and frizzy. I use a Sedu Ionic dryer at home and my hair is always shiny and soft after drying. I wanted the same result when Im on the road so I did a lot of research and decided to try the Bio Ionic travel dryer. I have been using it for about 3 months and I love it. It leaves my hair soft and shiny and its lightweight and compact for easy packing. Its worth the money. I would definitely recommend this dryer to anyone who travels.posted Apr 12, 2008Link to this post

Dot MRye NYDisasterI bought this dryer specifically because it had dual voltage. I took it to France where the very first time I plugged it in, it burned out. What a waste of money!! To say nothing of the fact that I then had no dryer for the rest of my trip.posted Apr 11, 2008Link to this post

MarieSan Diego, CANot GreatI bought this for the main purpose of travel to Europe and needed a dual voltage dryer. This dryer was just not poweful enough for my hair. I suspect it would get even worse on the 220 v. My yellow bird can dry my thick hair in about 10 min and this would have taken at least 20. When my hair was already dry, a touch up with this did make it shiny. Overall, a big disappointment. Not worth the money and I will return.posted Mar 31, 2008Link to this post

I have noticed the difference since I started using this dryer. My hair is now very shiny and healthy. I dont think my hair has ever been this healthy.Totally worth the money!!posted Feb 23, 2008Link to this post
