  • About the brand
  • Spornette International got its start as the Walter Sporn Company in the early 1950s. German Walter Sporn had a brush with success with his idea to implant a plastic handle with nylon bristles. Sporn's genius idea created the modern hair brush but it didn't stop there, Spornette brushes quickly became the salon standard for hair brushes expanding into a variety of styles. For over 50 years, this family-run company has continued to innovate, adding paddle brushes, cushion brushes, round brushes, and styling brushes for every hair type or texture to their repertoire.

My hair is: fine. This brush didn't work for me. The brush didn't grip my hair very well. It also created static in my hair. Thanks

If your hair is coarse and thick, this doesn't move thru the hair to straighten as well as the ceramic non-hair brushes do.

I love this brush because it is very difficult for me to find something for my thin, fine hair. I wanted to do the best I could for my hair and this brush did not disappoint. I recommend it to you.

So, I went on the eternal hunt for the perfect round brush. I wanted a lightweight, natural boar bristle brush as I do a ton of brush-sets. I also wanted brushes that could be sanitized (not wooden) and that was hopefully of a renewal material. I got as close to my "dream brush" as I could imagine it by buying the Spornette Provo. I was prepared to spend $46 per brush by purchasing Ibeza but felt that was WAY too expensive unless the brushes came with an assistant who was going to do my blowouts for me! I purchased 4 Provo brushes to start with and right away I knew I was going to be hooked! The combination of white bristles for finer textures and the darker bristles for heavier textures, combined with a concave tourmaline barrel makes this a nearly perfect brush! The concave barrel gives more lift from the scalp and when doing a brush-set, they sit more naturally and comfortably on the clients head. I soon went back to purchase 20 more brushes! My brush-sets will last my clients a week if they wanted to and I give some of that credit to the perfection that the Provo brushes offer! An excellent investment in your career.
