Wigo Professional Ceramic Flat Iron (1")

JenniferNashville, TNHairCurly HairGreat For Thin Hair With Natural WaveI borrowed this flat iron from my friend and it works great with my hair. I have a lot of thin hair with a natural wave to it. This wigo heats up very fast, and on the hottest setting, takes me about 10-15 minutes to quickly straighten my hair. I think all the negative comments are from people with very thick, curly hair - so keep that in mind!posted Apr 29, 2008Link to this post

JessOntario, CanadaI Dont Understand All The Negative Comments...ive had my wigo for a couple months now, i upgraded from my Conair "ceramic" straightener that didnt work with ANYTHING, so i noticed the difference when using the wigo. my hair is naturally hard to do ANYTHING with, very stubborn and a good deal of damage from constant dying and straightening (those ceramic plates help, but theyre no miracle!). you cant always blame the straightener, youre hair might just be harder to straighten. it takes me 20 minutes to do mine and i have shoulder length hair, and its thick and wavy. if you have a problem with humidity frizzing your hair, buy a serum that will coat your hair and protect it from it. in the end, you really cant fight it, your hair will just do what it wants to anyways.the wigo may not be the best straightener, but its good for the price.posted Apr 24, 2008Link to this post

ChristyIt Doesn't Work, Don't Get It.I bought a wigo straightner because I didnt want to spend the money on a chi and the salesperson said the wigo was the next best thing. Well, it not only pulls my hair out when I use it, it doesnt close all the way so it doesnt straighten my hair. My advice, buy a chi, my roomate has one and theyre definitly worth the money. The wigo, not so much.posted Dec 18, 2007Link to this post

TammyNew Brighton, Pa.HairChemically Treated HairNot Worth The Money!!My daughter and I both have thick, wavy defiant hair. We have used a few cheap Walmart flat irons that didnt work that well. Our stylist uses a CHI which works great so my daughter wanted one. I chose to try the WIGO instead even though the reviews were bad thinking the price was between the cheap irons and the CHI so how bad could it be. Well the saying you get what pay for really applies here! I read the reviews for all the flat irons and for the price the FHI was the best. I returned the WIGO and bought the FHI. The WIGO did OK compared to the cheap Walmart varieties but if you are looking for a good professional iron that leaves your hair straight & silky the WIGO is not the one. Buy the FHI like I did.....you wont regret it!posted Dec 3, 2007Link to this post

JazmineIndianaIck!I got my Wigo from my Grandmother who is a beautition. It worked Awesome for the 1st year then the plates started to fade and leave residue on my hair and break my hair. I am very carful with it too it just has awful results i have to do my hair over and over and it makes my room and hallway and HAIR of all things smell like burnt food its AWFUL!!DO not buy!posted Nov 27, 2007Link to this post

CourtneyNot GoodI bought this straightener and after about 2 months the straightner plates were burned around the edges and it continually ripped out strands of hair. By the end of straightening my hair there were strands stuck in the plates and my hair smelled and looked fried. : (posted Oct 16, 2007Link to this post

RachelMiami,FlAn Absolutely Horrid IronI have thick hair that is pretty wavy. I got this iron for my last birthday. Big mistake. It would take me 2 hours to get my hair straight and then when I finished and stepped outside it would look horrible even in non-humid weather. On a section that was really wavy it would take literally 5 minutes to get it straight and sometimes it would stay wavy. It would also burn my hair and snag alot of it so when I would finish ironing my hair there would be all these pieces of hair caught in the iron. I have also noticed that the red coat on the iron is coming off and I take very good care of my iron. For my birthday this year Im planning on getting the chi turbo so I can say goodbye wigo.posted Aug 25, 2007Link to this post
