Wigo Professional Ceramic Flat Iron (1")

MelissaGreat Bang For Your Buck...I've had my Wigo for 5 years. When I purchased it I paid around 90 dollars. I have thick and semi- curly hair which this iron works pretty well for. I do however find that I am a little wavy/frizzy by the end of the day... It does have adjustable heat which is nice along with a swivel cord. Mine just broke( well one plate is not working) after all these years and uses. It's been dropped numerous times as well as left on all day by accident. Overall at 30 dollars now, this flatiron is great bang for your buck!! I will say that I did purchase a new one and I went with the Chi ;)posted Feb 18, 2010Link to this post

JenniferNorth Pole, AKEhhhI bought this WIGO when a flat iron of mine dissapeared. I have been avoiding getting a top quality flat iron but now I think I'm going to. This flat iron works great if you don't have frizzy, unruly, wavy, curly or thick hair. When I first got it, it worked good. Then it just didnt do the job anymore. Not to mention it snags. I advise to invest in a good flat iron and stop wasting your money on these cheapos.posted Jan 28, 2010Link to this post

StephanieIllinoisYou Get What You Pay For....I had a Conair straightener as my first flat iron, and I hated it. After a while I asked my mom to buy me a new one. She bought me the Wigo, since she said paying $100.00 for a straightener was just rediculous. I straighten my hair every day, and I have not been impressed. Here are the problems...-takes forever to heat up-smells as its heating up-leaves creases in your hair-hair goes back to wavy after an hour-ceramic coating wares off-takes me 40 minutes to straighten my hair-snags hair on the sides of the platesI didnt know anything about straighteners before, and after 3 years of putting up with mediocre results, Ive decided to buy the $100.00 professional straightener. In retrospect, it would have made more sense to not have wasted my money on the crappy flat irons but investing in something that does a quality job. And, a flat iron truely is an investment. So... if you want a piece of junk thatll give you poor results, buy this iron. If you want good results, invest in a FHI or Chi. Its worth it.posted Jul 1, 2009Link to this post

MichelleGreat StraightenerI had this one for years. It made my hair sooo straight and soft I loved it. My sister needed an iron and I gave her mine thinking I would get one just as good at the drug store. None I have tried are the same and now I must go back to the salon where I got the first one.posted May 5, 2009Link to this post

VictoriaGoodi admit , wigo isnt the best. but its not as bag as everyones making it seem.i had mine for 4 years and it just broke. i have fine , wavy hair , and the wigo worked excellent.iv had friends with thicker hair use it , and they still have some problems , but it still works pretty well.i recommend this if your not willing to spend big bucks on something else.posted Nov 19, 2008Link to this post

BbEAST COASTDisillusionedI bought this for my daughter (age 14). She only uses it maybe once weekly and one day of the week end. We have had it since May 2008. One of the ceramic plates will not heat up. For the money and the reputation (I had heard it was great!), it did not impress me. Now I am beginning to hear otherwise. Wish I would have known that when I was deciding on which manufacturer to choose. i would not choose this product or this brand again. :(posted Oct 23, 2008Link to this post

ElizabethColumbus, GaThis Is A Good Flat Iron Not Badmy hair is horribly curly and it straightens it with two strokes to each section of hair. I dont understand all of the negative comments. It IS worth the money and you should try it. Its way better than the CHI thats so hot on the market.posted Oct 18, 2008Link to this post

PaulaWow I Really Hate It...I just bought this iron because it was on sale from 100 to 30 bucks...weird huh?? Well it works just about as "good" as a cheap flat iron I could have gotten at a drugstore. Dont buy this! P.S Im returning it ASAPposted Aug 7, 2008Link to this post

SarahNew MexicoHairCurly HairFind Another ProductThis was my first flat iron that I bought, so I had nothing to compare it to. I have thick curly hair and it would take about 40 minutes to straighten and then my hair would be wavy and frizzy within a few hours. It did last me for about 4 years until it just died. I ended up purchasing the Sedu 1 1/2" to replace this flat iron and I absolutely love it! I recommend not getting the Wigo but instead to check out the Sedu.posted Jul 22, 2008Link to this post

SharmeenCarrollton, TxHairCurly HairAmazingggI used this straightener for almost 2 years and the only reason I stopped using it was because I got a Chi. I have super curly hair and granted, it took a while, but it made my hair straight and look good. I got this straightener for $80 at Ulta and I have no regrets. Its not as good as a Chi but close enough.posted Jun 25, 2008Link to this post
