Aimee M.HairDark BrownNormal HairOily HairColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairHave Had Mine For Over A Year And Still Love ItThis is such a steal! I am just now writing a review because after having it for a year it is still just as awesome as the first time I used it. My sister was over the other day and used it to straighten her hair and she was in love :-) It still glides through my hair like the first time I used it. Gets very hot very quick, you definitely do NOT have to wait for it to heat up. I also love the heat proof case, as soon as I am done with it I just turn it off, slide it in the case and it can go right down on the floor or in a drawer and the case keeps the heat contained. If you are looking for Chi quality for half the price you can't go wrong with this iron.posted Jul 26, 2011Link to this post

MzHairMedium BrownNormal HairCurly HairDoesn't LastBefore I purchased this product, more than a year ago, I read all the reviews and I figured that I will win it for $50 or lose it. So I get the iron and I was happy to open it. I did other people's hair and was not VERY impressed but it did the job. I also purchased with it an ELCHIM 2001 blow drier, which I am absolutely thrilled about...I use it every week and almost everyday to do the front of my hair...anyway so I used it when I didn't really know how to blow my hair well I ironed it afterward and it worked OK. But a couple of months down the road....the cord got majorly tangled and the red light stopped turning on and I was not happy about it. So in the beginning, you may love it and you shouldn't be surprised when it doesn't do the job right because it seems to happen...Now, over a year later, I only blow my hair and I love the blow drier. It was so worth all the money. So consider buying and Elchim 2001 blow drier today!

JeanToledo, OH USAI needed another flat iron, I previously had a Sedu and thought this would be an inexpensive replacement option. I tried to run it through my chin-length wavy hair and it kept snagging and pulling my hair and I had to keep going over the same section to get it straight. I normally don't post reviews, but I bought this based on the good reviews and was very disappointed so I don't want others to make the same mistake.posted Feb 16, 2010Link to this post

DeedeeN/aSomewhat AverageIt breaks...easily. Part of the outside of mine is chipping off, more like chunks coming off (ive had it for 7 months). The symbol thing on the side also fell off. My plates on the flatiron arent even,so half my hair is straight and the other is wavy still. I wouldnt recommend this flat iron for african american or kinky curly hair or even unruly hair at that. It works fine on my hair, unless there is any humidity outside. I live in florida, so the only time i really straighten my hair is during winter, lol thank goodness its been a dry, long, harsh winter! i want the chi... hahaposted Feb 13, 2010Link to this post

D.schillerstromGlendale,AZ,USALasted One Week :(Bought the iron because of the color and price and did read the reviews of one person saying on and off light keeps going off. Same thing happened to me and when light would go off when plugged in the temp would decrease. A week after use the iron got hot throughout the handle. Went to reuse it and the V Logo next to the handle popped off exposing wires inside.Cheaply put together and don't waste your time and money. Have used affordable Hot Tools brands before that last monthes compared to a week for a Versati.Hopefully Folica well do and exchange for me for a better hot iron.posted Jan 25, 2010Link to this post

AnnaNYCGreat Iron!I put Good in stars because I it's the only iron I ever had that I can consider worth writing review about. This is a great iron. I was so surprised that is took me only 3 minutes to flatten my hair and make them nice and shiny. I have long hair and I never have time to take care of them, so I am always frizzy and neither here nor there with the wave look. They are straight at the top and then a bit of a mess on the bottom. The speed with which it takes me now in the morning do my hair is the most great part of this iron. It heats up in a second, which was another surprise and then it takes few strokes to get my hair all nice and staight. I can't imagine what more expensive irons can do, but if you are looking for a good priced iron that does the job, this is the one. I have used it so far for about a month. The bottle it comes with is quite big, which also was surprising, it wasn't one of these little sample bottles. So if you are thinking of getting flattening iron, this one is really good.posted Jan 21, 2010Link to this post

VarshaToronto, Ontario, CanadaGood But Doesn't Last Long.I bought this iron in July and it worked wonders on my hair. I was really impressed with it but 2 weeks ago, it completely fuzed out. It appears that the wiring got screwed up and according to my electrician friend, it's because the coating is cheap and easily malleable. So although the straightener works really well initially, it's only a matter of time till it wears out. However, I do feel that for the $35 I spent on it, it exceeded my expectations.posted Dec 26, 2009Link to this post

JillWestern New York, USAHairCurly HairGreat Value For Straightening Hair!I have kinky, curly hair (I am caucasion) and most days I can't even get a pick through it. On the days that I have time to straighten my hair, this iron is amazing. I even took it to my hair stylist, who agreed it was fantastic and was going to check it out and maybe order one for herself, since hers had just bite the dust. This is worth the money for just the iron, but the extras are a definite bonus.posted Dec 12, 2009Link to this post
