Not Very ImpressingI bought a TCP because after seeing it advertised on t.v. I though it would be the perfect for my hair.Just after a couple uses the plates started peeling so I got a new one shipped to me. BadI purchased the true ceramic pro a little over a year ago and was in love with it. It really straightened my hair and made it shiny. But then the ceramic started peeling off and it was recalled. I got a new iron shipped to me in a few weeks and not long after that it started peeling again. A few months ago I went to use it and when the cord swivelled it would shut off. Now it doesnt turn on at all. I am very disappointed after purchasing this product for 130 some dollars and nowof course the warranty is up. Very DissapointingEvery time I saw the advertisement on TV I kept dreaming to buy this TCP iron, and recently this year I was lucky to have one. It was an amazing product and I absolutly loved it!! But I had a few problems with it; the handel wasnt on properly, the plates didnt lye flat against each other, and had burning smell from the inside came out...unfortunatly I wasnt able to return this product early enough since my grandmother saved it for me as a gift, so I received it a while later past the return policy..But everything they said regarding the quality of the product was true and I was pleased..but in the end mine too stoped working. Its dead and it wont even turn on now. Ime very dissapointed for getting a top & expensive iron that doesnt own up to its expectations..Like the other reviews have mentioned; save your money and DONT get this product!!posted Aug 13, 2006Link to this post

Sadly It Wasnt What I Expectedi ordered a ceramic pro and yeah it was everything it said it was it worked very well it made my hair look way better but it stopped working within two weeks of using it ... i never wet it and it still looks perfectly new it was never dropped either , but now i try to use it and it wont even turn on... i was so devastated as i did wait a while to get it in the mail... now i dont know if i should buy a new one,because im afraid the same thing will happen..posted Aug 5, 2006Link to this post

The Death Of My Best Friend-tcpIve had my TCP for almost 15 months and had never had any issue with it what-so-ever until this past weekend. I was at a hotel getting ready for a wedding and had my flat iron on low (120 degrees) when I realized it was buring so badly that the plates were black and the actual plastic around the plates were melted!! I was shocked, I have accidently left the iron on at (400 degrees) for an entire day several times in the past. Even at that high of a temp and long of a period the iron never burned or melted!!! So needless to say I have been in mourning for the past few days and was contemplating ordering a new TCP until I began reading these reviews. While it was alive and working it was the best thing that has happend to my hair ever!! Looks like Ill be spending my good money somewhere else this time around. Do Not Waste Money.I owned 3 of these. The ceramic coating came off the first one within 6 months, the replacement burned out after 4 months as did the third one. Now, I cannot contact anyone at True Pro. They do not answer the phone nor do they respond to e-mails. Spend your money on another product.posted Jul 20, 2006Link to this post

Great At FirstI bought it and recieved it in good time and worked great at first so my mom ordered one, too. but soon after hers came, so about two months after i recieved the first one the paint started chipping and then it would turn on, sometimes and later it just didnt turn on. a month later my moms didnt work either. so dont bother buying one its a waste of money.posted Jul 17, 2006Link to this post

Works Fine At First, But Now... ?I have had my TCP for about a year and a half now. This, of course, is the replacement I had after the first one I received was part of a recall in that the "ceramic" peels off (which we now know is really a coating and NOT real ceramic plates). My second iron worked really well up until about a week ago when it just stopped turning on. I had read some reviews about this problem. Its not under warranty anymore so I guess Im off to buy another one. Too bad they are having these product problems. I dont mind paying top dollar for a quality product but this is obviously now a top quality product. Everyone who has one should get a refund.posted Jun 28, 2006Link to this post -
