LisaCanadaShockedI had my TCP for a year, in which i only used it for not more than twenty times. Yestersay i tried to use it, and it wouldnot turn on. I thought something was wrong with the switch, so i tried a different one. But the same thing happend and i pretty much tried all of the stwiches in the house. I called the company that i bought it from, and the told me that the warranty only goes up to six month. I just couldnt believe that 3 payments of $39.99 product will have such a short warranty. But i guess its life things happend. I do like the product, but am just to afaird to invest on it again.posted Jan 26, 2007Link to this post

SakiWashington DCWorked Welli purchased TCP December 2004. i never had any problems with it, used it about 3 times a month. it heats up really quickly. i was affraid that with such small plates it would take me even longer to straighten my hair, but because it got so hot it takes about 35 mins instead of almost an hour now. im really happy with it.posted Jan 21, 2007Link to this post

BillToronto, CanadaBad Electronic DesignI purchased TCP for my fiancé last year. She hardly ever used it but it died on her once. I managed to fix it (a capacitor was burnet). She used it for a while than one day she turned it on and plates started to melt! I looked at it and it seemed like temperature fuse didnât work and it didnât shut down automatically. Basically it had bad electronic design and didnât worth the money I paid for it.posted Oct 11, 2006Link to this post

EvelynDoesn't Last LongI had my TCP for about a year. It worked great for about 9months, but now similar to other customers the plates started peeling. Smoke comes off every time I turn it on. Im scared to use it anymore for fear of burning my hair. It will be going in the trash soon.posted Oct 5, 2006Link to this post

LindsayMarylandDo Not PurchaseI am totally appalled by how many complaints there are with this product. I thought maybe I was the only person that had a problem with my TCP iron, but I guess I was wrong. When I first recieved my iron I really enjoyed it. I actually found something that would straighten my hair! But a couple of months later, the iron would smell funny when I turned it on. I went to use it one day and the ceramic plates were a very dark red color(darker than normal). I started to use it and realized it burned every strand of hair I put under the plate. I could not believe what had just happened to my hair, I burned a huge chunk from the top of my head and it was right in the front of my face!!! I am SO MAD at True Ceramic Pro. I have been trying to get in touch with the company and all of their phone lines are busy!! I will probably try to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I suggest anyone else would had a problem with True Ceramic Pro do that too!!posted Sep 30, 2006Link to this post

CsilvaCaliforniaGreat Product!I bought the TCP for my daughter for Christmas last year and it still works great! She absolutely loves it. She has very thick hair and what would normally take two hours with another product onlt takes 45 min at the most. My daughter uses it all the time and has never had a problem with it. Her friends have also bought TCP for themselves since they have seen how nice my duahgters hair looks after.posted Sep 28, 2006Link to this post

ReneeILWorked Like Magic!!I have had my true true ceramic pro for a year and a half. Still works as good as they day as I bought it. I have VERY thick long curly hair. It used to take me at least three hours to straighten my hair. It was pretty much an all day event. I even had to sleep on it that night just to help make it smoother and less poofy for the next day. Even then I had one of the best straighners that costed me $150. Needless to say back then I only straighten my hair once a year. Now I dont have to blow dry my hair to smooth it out before i straighten it,and it only takes 45min. I am also very rough on it. I drop it all the time on the floor. It gets bounced around in a suitcase all the time. Its been through 5 different countries, and it still works as good as the day I bought it. Actually my Mom wants one and thats why I came to this website, she loves it and Im tired of her borrowing mine! Its too bad people have had such bad luck with it. I guess I just got lucky.posted Sep 16, 2006Link to this post
