AnnCaliforniaRipoff!!!!I paid about $150.00 for this flat iron (bought it on EBay), which was useless. I kept thinking it would get better, but it was awful. My old HAI convertable worked much better. The plates were rough and the unit ended up breaking. I bought it on EBay and never got a credit for the unit. What a waste of money. NEVER again!!!!!! It is not worth $1.00, let alone over $100.00posted Feb 23, 2005Link to this post

NikolaEast Norwich, NYI Would Give "zero" Stars If It Would Be Possible...This flat iron is waste of money.First of all - even on MAX temperature it is not even hot! I also suspect that mine was defected because one ceramic heater was hot/warm (I could touch it and wouldnt burn my finger tips) but another one was just warm. I could put on it all my palm and hold it like that for few minutes. And they call it 180C (400F)?!I tried to straighten only my fringe like for 5 minutes (with and without straightening solitions) - it still looked like if I just blow-dried my hair. Even with round brush and hair-drier I can straighten my hair better! I have to say that my hair are not the worst case - I have normal hair (not coarse, not curly or wavy but normal). So, after that 5 minutes of using that flat iron I packed it and sent it back. One more "minus" - that black material (isolation) which supposed to protect from heat - it will become dirty and grizzy in couple days. You wil get tired to clean it - everything sticks to that cheap synthetics. And it is NOT dual voltage as it is stated in description!Even the metal flat iron do better job than this one!posted Jun 30, 2004Link to this post
