3 Years And Counting...I have thin hair which has a tendency to frizz or get wavy. I've used ceramic and tourmaline straighteners, and prefer the tourmaline (it does less damage). The T3 straightener heats up in seconds, and works quickly. What's more (and what prompted me to post a review-- which I rarely do for anything), I have had this for three years. I travel a lot, and am embarrassed to say that this poor iron has suffered undue abuse: I've dropped it, I've left it on for hours at a time... and it still works as well as it did when I first got it! Amazing Flat Iron!!!I've had this flat iron for about a year and it's by far the best flat iron I've ever owned. I previously owned a corioliss, H2Pro, and a Chi. The T3 beat them all out with ease. I am African American with coarse chemically treated hair.
During the year I owned this flat iron, I was also transitioning from relaxed hair to natural. The T3 singlepass was able to straighten both my natural and relaxed hair without damaging either using minimal heat. I never set the iron past the two dot setting on the iron and it was able to heat up extremely quick and no one could differentiate between my natural and relaxed hair when I utilized my T3. It left my hair shiny and light weight with or without the use of a heat protector.
My only complaints about the flat iron are the white plates. When they get dirty they look really awful even if you clean them after each use. T3 should really just make this iron with black plates. I also don't like the dot system temperature settings. The iron uses 1-4 dot system to change the temperature, however I would prefer a digital display to give me more precise control over the heat.
All in all it's a great iron, mine fell and broke in half recently so I just ordered a Croc 2 just to try something new, however if that doesn't live up to the T3 I will be exchanging for another T3.posted Nov 2, 2011Link to this post -

Great Results And With Only A Single PassI have long wavy hair and I use a flat iron pretty much on a daily basis. When I turn on the T3 Straightening and Styling Flat Iron, it heats up within seconds, even while it is blinking (when it stops blinking the desired heat setting has been reached). I adjusted the temperature dial to wavy (one dot is for fine, two dots is for normal, three dots is for wavy and four dots is for coarse). I found it somewhat difficult to read and maneuver the temperature dial, I had to hold it under a bright light to be able to read the temperature dial. I adjusted the temperature dial again to in between wavy and coarse, since my hair is very thick. I didn't find it necessary to adjust the temperature dial again all the way to coarse. The T3 did a great job in straightening my bangs and my long layers. I also flipped the ends of my layers with the T3. My hair was shiny and the style held all day. Before the T3 I used a flat iron with wider plates, but I can see how the size of the plates of the T3 is better for creating other styles, such as flipping my hair. I must say that all you need is a single pass of the T3 to achieve the look one desires, as the name implies. Something else I like about the T3 is the size and brightness of the on/off indicator light. In my other hair tools, it is a little hard to tell if I shut off the tool, but that is not a problem with the T3. The T3 Celebrity Styling Set included a bejeweled compact mirror, feather extensions and a vent brush, which were a nice bonus. I am happy with the T3 Straightening & Styling flat Iron and it is now the only flat iron I use.
