Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Hair Styling Iron (3/4") plus free heat proof pouch

AnonymousTuckahoe NYPicture Of Product Is Not AccurateFrom the photograph of the Solia Tourmaline Ionic flatiron, it appears that the plates are recessed from the body of the appliance. However, the plates are actually flush with the edges of the iron making the possibility of getting burned very probable. This was enough of a drawback that I never even tried the iron.posted Dec 21, 2007Link to this post

EricaL.A.Buy This Iron, You Won't Be Sorry.I already owned the magic ionic which was good, but i found i had to pass over the same piece of hair many times to get it perfect. I wanted the solia 3/4 so that I could straighten my bangs and give a little curl under or flip on occasion. This relatively inexpensive iron has blown me away. Not only does it make my bangs perfect and silky, but I use it on my whole head of very long, thick, curly processed hair and it makes it so silky (even if I only do a mediocre blow dry to begin with) and it stays straight well into humid days or workouts. Im so glad I read the other reviews and bought this iron. I was worried that the less expensive price meant it was somehow inferior, but it is almost half the price of my magic ionic and it is so much better.folica is also fantastic. super easy and fast shipping.posted Dec 10, 2007Link to this post

KimChesapeake, VaIt Stopped WorkingI bought this less than a year ago. I loved it, it worked great-one of the best I have ever had BUT I PLUGGED IT IN THE OTHER DAY AND IT NEVER CAME ON. So I took it to another room and tried it there...it never came on.posted Nov 2, 2007Link to this post

Dawn BakerHollywood, FLSolia Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Hair Styling Iron (3/4"),My Daughter has been through several irons over the years and this one ranks well above average and the price was right! We highly suggest this Iron!!!!!!! My daughter who uses an Iron almost daily - said that this Iron keeps her hair straighter for a few days with just minor touch ups, she also stated the humidity (living the South Florida were it is very humid-we needed this) did not seem to undue the ironing she puts so much effort into as was the case with previous irons. This Iron was also gentler on her hair then some of the more expensive Irons we have purchased in the passed. If you are looking for an Iron - but this one - we have no complaints!!!!!Mom and Daughterposted Nov 2, 2007Link to this post

Flat HappyQueens, New YorkVery HappyIve read up on many different types of flat irons and this type of tourmaline/ceramic is the way to go. Solia makes a great flat iron. This is my first and I am very pleased. I have hair past my shoulders but I choose this size to feel comfortable getting the smaller hairs against my hairline. I did the japanese hair straightening (perm straight) and now I have two inches of curly growth and this iron helps me get the growth straight to match the rest of my pin straight hair. Its working. Im happy with it.posted Oct 28, 2007Link to this post

ShawnDallas, TXBest Flat Iron For Guys!!!I used to have the 0.5" Wee-Chi flat iron, but it stopped getting as hot after about 6 months, then it totally died right after a year. I was worried that the Solias 0.75" plates would be too large for my short hair and burn my scalp, but it actually works WAY better than my expensive Chi ever did! I would highly reccomend this flat-iron to girls or guys with short hair who still want an ultra-straight look. My before and after photos speak for themselves!!! LOVE IT!!! :)

MyishaRichmond, VAHairAfrican AmericanThank You! Thank You!I would like to thank each and every person who suggested the Solica Ceramic Flat Iron. I am not a person who goes to the hair dresser that much, maybe once a year or two. As a woman of color, I have tried every relaxer there is and just this past year it came down to me having to use two home perms at once every time I wanted to straighten my hair. I even tried mixing shampoos and conditioners to help assist me in straigtening my hair. Unfortunately, nothing ever really worked like I wanted it to. I was soo disappointed. Then LOW and BEHOLD, I lucked up on this site! THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING PRODUCT I HAVE EVER USED TO STRAIGHTEN MY HAIR! I washed my hair with Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. While I conditined it, I used Sunsilk 24/7 frizz free cream. Being that I read you could use the Solia from damp hair, I tried it, and it started straightening great, but I was too impatient so I dried my hair on a medium setting with my hair dryer. I used a smoothing heating balm and the Sunsilk again and I used my new Solia on the highest setting and WHAM! I could have fallen out of my seat my hair was so soft, silky and boy was it straight! I LOVE THIS THING! ANYONE WHO SAYS IT DOESNT WORK, JUST DOESNT KNOW HOW TO USE IT! THIS IS A MIRACLE PRODUCT FOR ALL WOMEN OF COLOR WITH THICK, KINKY, NAPPY, FRIZZY or SPLIT-ENDED HAIR! If you have these types of hair, ladies believe me, this will please you to the fullest. You wont have to worry about your hair getting that way again. I used it and later on in the day I sweat and my hair stayed just as straight as it was when I used my Solia. I went back in the house and kissed it! Thank you Folica.com for having such a wonderful product! Im sorry I couldnt show you all any pictures, I was too excited in getting my Solia, I forgot.posted Sep 10, 2007Link to this post

AmyCan We Say "ouch"?I just used this straightener today and I am very disappointed in it. Not only did it snag & pull my hair, it didnt even really straighten. I had to go over each piece at least 2 times to get it straight. I am definitely returning it & trying another brand.posted Sep 6, 2007Link to this post
