JaniceHairBlackOily HairDry HairThick or Coarse HairWonderful!I have been using my Solia 1-3/4-inch flat iron for three years now, after my $25 drugstore version broke after a year. I have toted it around Europe, used questionable voltage transistors with it, dropped it a few times, wrapped the cord around the iron by accident a few times (a big no-no), and it's still going as strong as it did when I first got it. It gets my hair shiny and swishy in a short amount of time, and the price is on the lower-end of the expensive flat irons (not $30, but just as good or even better than the $150 ones). It's a great deal, if you think about it -- if I had kept buying the $25 flat irons, I'd have paid $100 over the four years. My Solia cost $85 for three years (and it's going to last even longer) and delivers better quality flat-ironing in a shorter amount of time. You can't beat that!posted Mar 18, 2011Link to this post

Marissa B.Farmington, MoHairLight BrownNormal HairChemically Treated HairNot Bad, Not Bad At All!The good stuff-
It straightens hair fast and easy.
Gives my hair more volume and shine.
Makes my hair look all around more healthy.
It's bigger than my old one inch and cuts styling time in half!
The bad stuff-
The cord is shorter than my old CHI which makes it difficult to style with (even though it is just 1 foot shorter... I needed that foot to reach the outlet in my room.. I'll have to move my mirror.)
I am use to my old 1 inch CHI and when I ordered this big sucker its nearly an inch bigger which is hard to get my bangs and behind my ears with without burning myself.posted Mar 17, 2011Link to this post -

Sally M.Chicago, IlExcellent!I am actually on my THIRD Solia. I absolutely love this straightener.
Moreover, I love this company. My second Solia broke (one of the plates came off) and so I returned it to the NJ site. Within ONE WEEK I had the replacement.
I tracked it online and saw that they had received it on Tuesday morning. I actually forgot to include my return address in the package and received a call from customer service about 11am same day to ask where I would like the replacement sent. On Thursday I had the new item. Super impressive!
I highly recommend this item, and this site!posted Mar 7, 2011Link to this post -
DianaHairBlackCurly HairColor Treated HairThick or Coarse HairAlright At First But Then...I got really excited to use this product after reading many positive reviews. Got it and it worked alright, I had to go over my hair a couple times to get it straight, but even then it wasn't as straight as I would like. I would wake up in the morning and my hair would be wavy. Then after not even a full year of having this product, I was half way doing my hair and it just stopped working. Didn't damage or drop it. Just stopped working.posted Mar 6, 2011Link to this post

BafFloridaHairDark BrownNormal HairRelaxed HairChemically Treated HairDidn't Work For MeI was very excited to get my Solia flat iron. I had previously been using the Chi for the past 7 years. I was rather disappointed in this Solia. I could not seem to get my hair to straighten out very well. The roots were okay but nothing exciting. The ends wouldn't straighten out well either. I went over certain areas several times. The ends of my hair in certain areas would not smooth out at all. I tried to get a good working combination for the Sedu hair polisher and this Solia iron but I failed. The next time, I tried using other polishers but I couldn't get a good working system. When using this iron, I was 4 weeks into my relaxer. Which may effect the roots but shouldn't effect the ends. I usually get a relaxer every 6 weeks. I have returned this iron for another brand totally. I am hoping to get better results.posted Feb 26, 2011Link to this post

JesikaNew York, NYHairDark BrownDry HairCurly HairColor Treated HairHealthier Looking Hair!Really great straightener. The first time I used it I was unimpressed but that was entirely my fault, I was using it at too low a setting. I was scared to turn it up too high because my old cheap straighteners had completely killed my curls. I've used this straightener at least eight times so far (have had it about a month), and my curls spring back after each wash. I do make sure to use a good hair-protecting product though.
I have chin length hair right now and the wide width is not a problem at all, which I think is great for anyone growing out a short style.
The free pouch is really nice too, it gives you a good surface on which to set the iron down while you're styling and keeps the cord neat when you're done.
I chose this iron over some of the others because it was a bit less expensive, so far I think I made the right choice.posted Feb 26, 2011Link to this post -
Shannon G.HairDark BrownDry HairCurly HairFine or Thin HairThick or Coarse HairThis Is The Best Flat Iron For This Price! This flat iron was really worth the buy. I just got it yesterday, and it took me about 2 hours to flat iron my hair. Previously I had been using the CHI mini, but that CHI mini was $100 at ULTA, and this flat iron is way cheaper, and is a thousand times better! My hair is super curly, but not kinky. It's also thick and dry. After flat ironing it, it was still significantly dry (and that's my only complaint), but I used some CHI Silk Infusion, and that helped a lot. Overall, I LOVE this flat iron and would recommend it to any of my friends with super curly, thick, dry hair.posted Feb 9, 2011Link to this post
