Claudiac C.BOCA RATON, FLHairMedium BrownOily HairThe Handle And Plates Get Too Hot To HoldThe handle gets too hot to hold, i just have a month it seems that its getting better but
if you want to do curls on your hair, it wont work, because from outside the plates are freaking hot!!!!!! and you cant hold the flat iron from there either.posted Oct 3, 2011Link to this post -

KatieHairDark BrownCurly HairThick or Coarse HairNot So Great For Thick Curly Hair....i was SO excited to receive this flat iron but i was extremely disappointed by the results i got. i have long very very very thick and curly hair and for me this just didn't deliver most of my hair ended up being silky smooth shiny and beautiful but, when i came down to the ends they remained super frizzy... i ended up using my old flat iron (a maxi glide) to straighten my ends which i am now going back to. i would recommend this solid to any one with medium thickness and curl/wave to their hair but as for those with locks like mine, invest in something that will get your ends easily and not damage themposted Aug 12, 2011Link to this post

ToriHairMedium BrownCurly HairThick or Coarse HairMust-have!!As someone with poofy, curly, frizzy hair, I have bought countless straighteners since i was 14. This is by far THE BEST that i have ever used. It staightens very fast. It left my hair feeling soo silky. If you feel like you have unmangable hair, try this one. IT WORKS. You MUST take very good care not to drop it though. The plates fell out of mine. :(. I cannot wait to save the money and buy another!posted Aug 10, 2011Link to this post

ShelbyHairPlatinum BlondeThick or Coarse HairPleasantly Surprised! For many years I have been a CHI worshipper. Not many flat irons could deal with my unruly, thick, frizzy hair. But after replacing two in a matter of two years, I figured it was time to switch it up. I went to my roommate first borrowing her Remington which did almost nothing for me. Took FOREVER to get the results my CHI had produced. So I began to surf the internet stumbling across this website along the way. Pouring over multiple potentials and tons of reviews, I narrowed it down to the popular Sedu and Solia. By last minute decision and in dire need of a flat iron I chose Solia. And I couldn't be happier I did. While I was hesitant at first to witness it's performance, I was beyond thrilled with my results! Took me a whole 20-25 minutes to do my hair (while with other irons it could take up to 45 minutes) doing away with the craziness I call my hair. You will not be unhappy with a Solia!posted Aug 2, 2011Link to this post

CharlotteWashington, D.C.HairMedium BrownThick or Coarse HairWell Made, Dependable Flat Iron
I bought my Solia flat iron about THREE YEARS ago, and it still is as amazing as the day I took it out of the box. Before the Solia, I had a cheap $20 flat iron that lasted about a year before it started to die on me. The Solia flat iron may seem pricey, but in the long run it is totally worth it. It heats up quickly and has always left my hair glossy, frizz-free and straight. My natural hair is thick, wavy/pouffy, a little on the coarse side and reaches about four inches below my shoulders. It takes me 20-30 minutes to straighten my hair and have it looking good, depending on the humidity/etc. Along with the iron, I use a heat protectant and make sure my hair is completely dry. I love this iron to death and it works so well, even after 3 years of consistent use. I am a pretty frugal person, but spending the $80 on my flat iron was probably one of my best purchases ever.posted Jun 25, 2011Link to this post -
KacieHairBlondeCurly HairThick or Coarse Hair5 Years Later And Still Going Strong!I did vast amount of research before deciding on which flat iron to buy. I have long, thick hair that is naturally curly. I use a combo of blowdrying and a flat iron to straighten.
This flat iron is hands down the BEST. It gets hotter than any other flat iron I've owned (which for those of us with thick curly hair, is a HUGE plus). It's so hot that I only set the temp about halfway! But it has never damaged my hair. Not once. After each use I end up with silky smooth hair. And after 5 years of daily use, it's still as perfect as the day I purchased it. What else do I need to say? This iron is worth every penny.posted Jun 24, 2011Link to this post
