Aaaa Mazingggggg!Omg! i love it it doesnt pull my hair out, it glides right over the plates, and it doesnt burn. My old flat iron (andis from walmart) pulled an burned my hair off, with the solia i had only a few hairs come out due to the previous damage from the other iron, which also would leave hair all over my shirt and sink. Leaves Hair Super Silky!I just got it and I'm in love! This is the first time I use it and I did notice a few hairs fell out.... I'm going to continue to use this product and see if it's worth keeping. If I notice a dramatic hair loss I'm returning it. Silky hair isn't worth losing it over. However, this iron is amazing. Great Flat Iron!My biggest problem was always the duration of time my hair stayed straight. With my old flat iron it would look great for the first half an hour and then after 10 minutes outside it's like I didn't spend an hour on my hair in the morning. This iron really changed that, I can straighten my hair once and go for two days with my hair just how I want it! The only thing is that it can only do big curls or waves if you deside to curl your hair with it, I would go for a 1 inch to make titer curls. Great Flat Ron... Frizz Free Silky Hair!!!!I bought my Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron (1-1/4") recently and am so happy with the results. I have slight wavy hair and was hoping to find flat iron that would also take care of the frizz. And this flat iron seems to do just that. It makes your hair frizz free and adds a shine without making your hair extremely dry. It heats up instantly too. I am so glad to have found this product. Fantastic Flat Iton! But Smells :(Love love love this flat iron (1 1/4' in black) its perfect in every way but it smells like plastic Sooo bad! I know its new and some smell should be expected but you'd think it would go away after a couple of uses?
Other than the smell (hopefully will wear off eventually with time) its great. Straightens like a flat iron is supposed to and heats up within a few seconds.

Better TogetherI bought this for my Asian hair after the Chi fried it. Atypical to Asian hair, my hair does not dry straight without the aid of a blow dryer AND flat iron. I was told that since my hair is relatively fine, I needed something with variable heat settings. After looking around, the Solia was relatively affordable compared to the other top brands with good reviews.
The heat settings helps SOOOO much (duh right?). I love this flat iron. I use it to style my hair every time. I even let my friend borrow it once, and she bought one of her own the next week! It heats up fast, and I'm confident that my hair isn't being damaged when I use it.

Loved It For 2 Years !I bought the Solia flat iron approximately two years ago and it worked great!! Straightens my hair, adds shine, makes it silkier.. But it wouldn't eliminate all of the frizz. My hair is naturally curly with sort of nappy roots. I have Dominican hair but I'm Cuban LOL. It worked great for I think a year and a half.. Then after that it started smelling burnt... Like if it was frying my hair a little bit... But it still works great.. Although I am shopping for something different. I might just try the Babyliss Titanium flat iron since this lady at a salon used it on me and my hair came out great !! Love It! Long Lasting Too!I've had this flat iron for 6 years, and it's still working perfectly. Mind you, I'm the girl who flat irons her hair every day! Also, I'm extremely clumsy and have dropped it a few times, but it still works perfectly. I have a full head of thick brown coarse hair, that is neither curly, straight nor wavy. Not That ImpressiveSo after having my CHI of 5 years finally give out, I decided to come to folica to find a new straightener. I had narrowed down the choices to either this Solia or the Sedu, and ended up choosing this one because it was cheaper. Honestly, I kind of expected miraculous results, considering all of the rave reviews here. But the truth is that this straightener isn't all that great. It definitely gets the job done, but I wouldn't say it's any better than the CHI. I guess if you're comparing it to some drugstore brand, then of course it would be superior, but really, some of these reviews make you expect wonders!
