Very SatisfiedI really would rather give it a 4.5/5, but decided to go with a 5 rating instead of 4 because the pros completely outweigh the cons.
Pros:
-Very fast shipping- received it within 36 hours of ordering it!!!
-Amazing results!- My hair is dry and breaking and gets very frizzy if i even blow dry it on the lowest heat setting. The Solia makes my hair smooth and silky and my hair doesn't get caught in the plates like it would in other irons.
-Heats up quickly
-Long Chord
-Reasonably priced
Cons:
-Takes a while to cool after it is turned off
-Sometimes the exterior of the straightener gets too hot so it becomes harder to hold the iron near the top while it is turned on.

Best Flat Iron So FarMy hair is very thick and quite dry. I've owned several flat irons (expensive & cheap) over the years, but this is by far the best. My hair feels silky smooth and it is less damaged from all the heat. I have very long hair and it used to take me around 45 min to straighten my hair. With the Solia I am down to 25 min tops. Also, this is the first flat iron that doesn't pull my hair at all and pretty much eliminated all frizz. Several people have noticed my hair getting healthier and shinier. Look No Further - The Best Of The Best!I bought my first Solia about 5 years ago and absolutely loved it! I'd owned 2 Chi's prior to that - both of which broke in less than year! When my Solia stopped turning on after nearly 2 years, I sent it back, as it was still covered under the warranty. The new Solia they sent me lasted another 2 years, but after that, I decided to give my locks a break and try to EMBRACE my natural curls lol I used a Remington Wet-to-Straight for those rare times I DID straighten it, with mediocre results. After a year of mediocrity, graduating college, and landing a big girl job, I decided it was time to take the plunge and buy another high end flat iron. I knew I loved the Solia, but I was curious as to how well the other flat irons in Folica's top ten worked in comparison. After reading HUNDREDS of reviews, I settled on the 1" Babyliss Nano Titanium - great reviews (I even watched the youtube videos) AND a 4 year warranty! However, I was disappointed to find it pulled my hair, and never got it perfectly straight, even on a high heat setting. I figured, why mess with a good thing?, bought another Solia, sent the Babyliss back, and I'm SOOO happy I did! Very Lightweight But Works Great!I was very surprised to feel how light this straightener was compared to the Chi and TIGI ones that I have been used to using. I have only used it 2 or 3 times so far and it works great.... even better than the ones I have owned in the past. My hair is very curly and frizzy. This gets my hair pin straight in a lot less time than the others. I would definitely recommend this product and Folica to any of my friends!! Great!.... Until It Stopped Working.Thanks to my order history, I saw that I got this flat iron on March of 2010 and it worked just as great as one I had for 4 years. Now 21 months later, and this flat iron doesn't work!
There is nothing visibly wrong with the exterior but this morning after hearing an electrical crackle and pop, smoke started to come out of the unit! The last thing I need is to be shocked in the morning by my flat iron and have to go to work with half straightened hair. Died In 1 YearI bought this flatiron and LOVED it!! My hair was shiny and it did not pull my hair the only problem was it died after only having it for 1 yr!! Booo Yaaa Results!So My hair is the type of hair that every time you want to straighten it, it has a diffrent idea. In other words my hair does what it wants. I have thick thick and curly hair.It's a nightmare. I had a drug store bought straightener That worked okk. I had to shower the night before, blow dry, then straighten. And then straighten again in the morning! ): It was a waste of time. I recived my Solia 2 days ago. I think i just fell in love. I hoped into the show blowdried my hair and then used it. On 370. Needless to say, wow. Beautiful. And it even curls my hair, so now i don't need to damage it even more with my "beautiful" Conair drug stor curling iron with plates that crush my hair. Best Purchase I Have Ever Made, No Exaggeration!So I purchased my first Solia flat Iron back in the summer of 2005, going into my Junior year of college. As soon as I got it I fell in love. But it didn't stop there, my Solia flat iron has literally traveled the world with me. I brought it with me for a summer in Europe, where I accidentally melted the plate out of it. I forgot how hot it got because of the conversion of electricity, and left it plugged in for awhile like I usually do, well i look over and see the metal plate had melted out of the plastic and was hanging there. So I ran over to it, and pushed it back in, and literally melted it back into place. And, no exaggeration, it was as good as new. And continued to work until this day. The only reason I bought a new one, was because I travel between two places a lot, and they were having a pretty good sale. Otherwise, I would continue to use the original. I use it almost everyday, I have had friends use it, everyone loves it. It was the best investment ever, I got more than my money's worth. I am a huge fan of Solia now, and just recently bought there blow dryer which is also awesome, but this straighter is just beyond amazing. I have recommended it to everyone I know, and all of my friends have switched from Chi's to the Solia, because they have used mine and love it. Do yourself a huge favor and buy this.
