Its Great!I use this on my wavy and very frizzy hair and it works great, it use to take me an hour to an hour and a half to straighten my hair and with this I only take 30 mins...how amazing is that! I Am ImpressedWell, I have recently decided tp stray away from the beauty supply brands like Gold & Hot, which is what I used to use. Using Gold & Hot, my hair would smell very burnt afterwards, and within the hour my curls would fall, basically like they never existed. I decided to try looking on folica.com for the Solia because a hair tutorial girl that I follow on youtube uses it for her hair/weaves. The size of the Solia is perfect, and I love the thickness of the plates, which is what I think my Gold and Hot lacked before. Also, after I am done using the Solia, my hair doesn't have that burnt smell that I would have with the old flat iron. At the end of the day, my curls would actually still be there, with the way I flipped it and all!! I don't think it's worth the $80.00 it costs though. I've only had it for about a few weeks, and I don't use it EVERYday...hopefully it will last longer than the 10 months that one of the previous reviewers said......posted Jun 8, 2011Link to this post

Good But Not As Great As ChiThe iron works good, but I had a Chi for 8 years and I decided to try this one based on the reviews, I must say that it works good but the results don't last as long as it did with my old Chi. My hair is very coarse and I did try it with smoothing products.

Wow Wow And WowThis is by far the best flat iron I have ever owned! I have African American hair and this flat iron gets my hair super straight without making my hair look flat and lifeless. My hair has body and bounce and feels so silky smooth. It stays straight even with all the humidity and 90 degree heat in Florida. I Love You Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion FlatWhere to start? I use to perm my hair when I was younger but once I finished High school I stopped because I thought it was too costly. I then found out the wonders of flat ironing. I have very thick and long bi-racial hair so it gets wild in the heat and mist. This little gift sent from the hair gods. I have had it for almost 3 years and it's like brand new. I have dropped it more times than I have flat ironed my hair. My family love it 6 of my cousins have got one in all the beautiful colors!
