Dunno If It's My Hair Or The Flat Iron Lol..I just got my black Solia today, I overestimated it but it has its pros and cons: PROS: -My hair shines in the sun -stays straight for a day -doesn't snag hair -no burning smell -temperature options (goes up to 450 degrees) CONS: -makes my hair look dry & not shiny at all when not in the sun . -doesn't make my hair look stick straight, which was the look i was going for :/ My hair is really hard to straighten since it's thick and has lots of split ends, but I was hoping the flat iron would gimme better, straighter, SHINIER, results.

Had For Almost Three YearsWhen I first purchased a solia flat iron around three years ago I fell in love. My hair is course and thick and the flat iron made it smooth and fabulous. Well, I dropped the flat iron and the plates broke off so Folica offered to replace it. The replacement looked cheaper made and felt different. However, the results were the same. My hair still looked great. I went to use the flat iron today (probably six months after getting replacement) and my flat iron would not turn on. I was so sad! I checked online and could not decide what type of flat iron to get. The Solia works best for me but seems to be made cheaper than it used to be. The offer of a two year warranty plus free shipping and twenty five dollars off caused me to shop with Folica again and try the Solia again. I hope this one works!!! Works Better On Othersi recently made a review about how this iron sucked badly on my hair. BUT I use it on my mother hair and amazingly it gets her hair to be silky smooth! I just don't get it, her hair is thick like it could b carpet! Texture wise, her hair is very fine. So once I put it thru the plates, it comes out all straight and smooth.

Works Really Well, I Love It.I live in canada, so i had to pay $114.00 for the flat iron, including shipping and tax. But this flat iron is worth it, Just be sure to use heat protector spray. My hair is really wavy and puffy, and this flat iron works great on it. Fast shipping, and amazing product. Highly recommended. Much better then the Chi and Ghd, and its affordable.

I Love It!After my three previous flat irons kicked off, I decided it was time to invest in a quality one. After weeks of research I made my choice of the Solia flat iron. I recieved it from UPS today and was greatly impressed by the results. My previous flat iron took me one hour to straighten my hair and look somewhat decent, the Solia took me fifteen minutes! It did not cling on my hair and went through smoothly, and my frizz is almost completely eliminated. The Solia flat iron is also very well built and looks appealing. This product is a must-have.

"a Waste Of Money"I purchased this flat iron and I am sorry to say I spent so much money on a flat iron that is horrible. This flat iron cost way to much money to be so crappy. You can save you money and buy a much cheaper flat iron that does a better job than this crap. I feel like the company should refund me my money because this flat iron is horrible. I've only used it a handful of times and was very dissapointed with my results. It doesn't straighten hair like it should and you forget about that tourmaline stuff. Save your money, it's a waste of time to buy this flat iron. I going to throw this away and buy me a "real flat iron," and I want be purchasing it from folica. Loved At First Like It NowI have had this for about a year at first i loved it now i like it. It snags my hair sometimes and made my ends dry and frizzy. I am a black teenager transitioning to natural with 3c hair type but i have many textures in my hair. Sometimes my hair gets nice and straight but doesn't stay straight very long i'll have to wash and re-doing it the next week. Its still a good flat iron better than my raggady FHI. What An Amazing Product!After checking out all the reviews on here, and comparing the other flat irons in the 'Folica Top 10" I decided to give this one a try, and let me just say I could not be more happy. The straightener heats up fast and it glides down my hair very smoothly. My hair is pretty healthy, naturally wavy when it air dries, is not color treated, is on the thin side and this straightener works perfectly for me. I would recommend this straightener to anyone who is looking for a dependable straightener that works very well, can be used to curl your hair and comes with a two-year warranty . With any straightener however, I do recommend using a heat protectant/anti-frizz serum because I have read some of the reviews on here where some of the people have said that their hair frizzes up after a few hours after straightening, even though that hair-type-specific factor does not have anything to do with the straightener itself in my opinion.
