Good For Long HairI love this flat iron soo much. I bought it a few years ago & I straighten my hair pretty much every day. my hair is soo long but with this straightener, it takes about five or ten minutes, after I blow dry, depending on what day it is. I love that it doesn't snag my hair like the cheap ones do.. I can never go back to those! & it's super easy to straighten my hair when it's curly. it also adds a really nice shine to my hair (even when I wasn't able to get my dead ends trimmed for over a year!) I have the black one with the blue plates and, omg, I love the color of the plates. I also love the free heat proof pouch that came with it because I wanna protect this investment, for sure. & it's actually pretty cheap for such an excellent product. I mean, anything under $100 for a straightener that works as well as this is a fantastic deal. I'm so glad I got this because I was debating on whether or not to buy this or the Sedu for the longest time, however, in the end, this won & I'm glad it did because it works soo well for long, long hair. it does get really hot on the outside of where the plates are & it does make my hair really hot right after but it, definitely, is worth it. now I can't wait to get the Solia blow dryer that they sell on here!posted 4 days agoLink to this post -

In Love With ItI received this flat iron today..and I am IN LOVE with it. I have never had an iron that's so lightweight but yet works so well. I have course curly hair and this Solia iron made it so so smooth! I previously owned a $100 dollar iron, but that iron didn't make my hair as silky as this Solia flat iron did. I got the black one, and it's cute with the blue plates. It's different than the normal black irons with boring black plates.
I played with the different temperatures to see which temperature works well for me, and surprisingly, I doesn't even need it to be too hot in order to tame my course curly hair! If something happens to this flat iron, if I lose it etc., I will definitely buy another one of these. I'm in love and this is only my first day. It Works Great On My Hair Until...This is my first Solia flat iron and have been using it for almost a year. It straightenss great and makes my hair smooth and silky. I used to be a fan of CHI, but now as compare to Solia, I think Solia does a much better job. However, it worked great until now it won't turn on OR it will turn on for a few seconds and then off. Always Go Back To My SoliaI've used solis flat irons for years. I have the 1 1/4 and 1 3/4. I had a moment where I wanted to try something new so I went out and bought the sultra suductress for $210 (I know it's ridiculous....don't judge me) The sultra worked well but even with all it's bells and whistles it didn't do like my solia. I returned it and stuck with my solia. I alway get compliments on my hair and asked what kind of flat iron I use. This has done wonders for my hair. I am biracial and I have VERY voluminous hair that requires a flat iron. Although its not corse I have used it on a friend with very corse hair and it did amazing. I highly recommend this flat iron. Worked Better Than My SeduI definitely feel this iron worked better than my Sedu, I am african mercian with thick, curly, unrelaxed or permed, non color-treated, natural hair, and I liked this. It got my roots well, my Sedu made my roots scrunchy and didnt straighten them out, but this did, it's not the best Ive use(I currently use a kqc, and its not better than an H&R, my cortex did a better job as well, and its almost 5), but its pretty good flat iron for my hair texture as a back up.posted Last weekLink to this post

I Loved It ... Until ....I've had this iron for just over a year and a half. I don't use it daily (as some days I want my curls) so it's lightly used (not heavily). It's never left plugged in, the cord is in fine condition, I don't abuse this iron at all.
Now it turns on... and within a minute or so it turns off. More over, when I purchased it, it came with a 2 year warranty but getting Solia or Folica to back that up has proven futile.

Great Iron But...I have been using this flat iron for ALMOST 2 years and have loved it so much. The other day I went to plug it in and nothing happened. It wouldn't turn on or heat up. I unplugged and replugged into another outlet and it came on and worked but the next day I plugged it in and out and it would not turn on. I jumped on here and found out I was just under my 2 year warranty and was so glad I did! For a charge of 9.95 plus the cost to ship it back, I should be getting my replacement soon and I have specifically requested to replace with a new iron and not a refurbished (it is explained under the warranty info that you could get either). If I receive a new iron and can get another 2 years out of this iron, I'll be happy with what I have received. Previous to purchasing the Solia iron I had gone through 3 chi's. I didn't like the chi as much as the Solia and they all broke even though I have never once dropped any of my irons. Ultimately Solia is a better product producing better results and I'm very happy with Folica and their customer service, so far. I just wish these flat irons lasted longer than they do.posted Last weekLink to this post

It Gets Really Hot!I really like my Solia. Unfortunately, the bottom of my hair was dry and when I started using this it totally fried my ends. I had to get a haircut and cut off all the dry hair which turned out to be a few inches. I thought about returning it but then I used it on my healthy hair and it has been awesome. It takes hardly any time to do my hair now and it looks really healthy. I use Argan oil on my hair to protect it and that also helps keep frizz down.

Better Than Expected!I had the Sedu for a year, and I loved it. It was one of the best, if not the best, straightener I've ever owned. It broke on me last week because of faulty wiring, and after reading reviews on Folica, I decided to move on because the wiring seemed to be an overly common issue. I ordered the Solia on Tuesday night, and it came this morning! I was SO excited, especially because I had only ordered standard shipping. I just tried it, and I fell in love. It ties the Sedu in results; shiny, smooth, and sleek. It glides through the hair, but not as smoothly as the Sedu. My favorite part about the Solia is the color (hot pink) and the adjustable plates, so it makes sure all of your hair is evenly exposed to the heat.
