So So Flat IronI received this hotpink flat iron as a free gift with purchase over 75 bucks so a good deal.I have a titanium flat iron and thought I'd try ceramic out. I used it once so far and it straightens my very long medium thick fine hair okay. It will straighten it. tho since my hair is thick it leaves it thick feeling and looking and i do not get the pin straight hair I desire like I do with my babyliss titanium flat iron. So overall itsokay but I prefer titanium for super straight hair because my babyliss flattens my hair so well it doesn't feel like I have a head full of hair waying me down.posted This weekLink to this post -

Great As A Flat Iron, But Curls And Flips Made With It Will Not Stay.Usually, if I flat iron my hair and go out on a humid day, my hair frizzes up. This iron seems to help prevent those frizzes on humid days and I love that. The thing I don't like is that it claims that you can use it to apply lose curls and flips to the end of your hair without having to pull out a separate curling iron to do that job. While you can apply lose curls to the ends, they will last maybe an hour before you have bone straight hair with absolutely no curl at all. I was surprised by this because I have the kind of hair that loves to hold curl. My remedy is to flat iron my hair half way down then use a curling iron on the lower part of my hair to get the look I like. If you are looking for just a really great flat iron to get that super straight look from root to tip, this is it. If you care looking for a flat iron that offers versatility and can be used as a curling iron too, I would look elsewhere.posted Last weekLink to this post

Great Iron But Doesnt Last Very LongI bought this iron a year and half ago. Its the best one I have ever owned. I love the self adjusting plates and the silky way it makes your hair feel. But I was very disappointed when it stopped working only after a year and a half. I know its not very expensive compaired to other flat irons. Amazing Flat Iron!I have had this flat iron for OVER two years now and I am absolutely in love with it. You can adjust the heat settings for how ever fine or thick your hair is. Me, mother, and my sister both have 3 different hair types and it always leaves all of our hair looking smooth & silky! Awesome Straightener!When I decided it was time for me to purchase a new hair straightener, I spent HOURS researching the best one to get. I ultimately decided upon the Solia flat iron (1 1/4") after a final nudge from a friend who gave it a rave review. I will say, I am VERY pleased with my decision and her advice! I was a bit eerie about purchasing such an expensive straightener, since my last one was a cheap Remington from Target. (And I not one to spend more money than is needed on a product, especialy for my hair.) I was also worried the thinner width would make straightening my hair take much longer than it did before since I have extremely thick hair. (The width of my old straightener was 2 1/2"!) Again, very pleased with the product! I am actually able to straighten my hair FASTER than before! I absolutely love how fast the Solia heats up and the different temperature settings that you can adjust it to! I found that using the hottest setting does the best for my hair in terms of straightening time, however, I have found various other settings have worked just as well too!
One piece of advice, BE CAREFUL. The iron gets EXTREMELY hot, especially when you put it on the higher settings. I ended up burning myself within minutes of straightening my hair, because I was not used to my other iron getting that hot. Just some helpful words of advice.
Other than that, LOVE IT! Definitely worth my money. :)posted May 9, 2012Link to this post
