Best Flat Iron For Curling Hair!!!!!!!!!!!!Hi received my limited edition Solia(pink) flat iron last week. For the past week I have been trying it out so I could write a good review and honest review!!! First let me tell you I have tried MANY different flat irons. I currently have Sedu(one not with adjustable plates), chi, and the supersolano. I must say this Solia is by far the best one out of those three. I use my flat iorn to curl my hair not straighten. So this is basically for the curling aspect of it. There are so many pluses. It gets super hot. I put it to the highest the temp can go which is like 450degrees(I may be a little off on the temp but I put it to the highest) since my hair is very hard to curl. I love the fact that the plates move. This makes it so much easier and just a nicer curl since the plates move with the direction you're going. I also like that the shape of the iron. It has rounded edges so it makes the curl fabulous. This iron has a great texture for an easy grip...doesn't slide!! Of course an absolute PLUS is it comes with a two year warranty.....WHAT?? that's right a two year warranty!!!! So if in like a year my iron doesn't heat up as well I can exchange it for a new one...NOT a one year warranty but YES a two year warranty!!! Can you ask for anything more?????????????? I am so happy with this flat iron!! I did my research on a few and it was between this Solia limited edition and the Hai and I'm so happy I went with the Solia. The Hai may also be good but for me this is doing the job just fine!!!!!!!!! No complaints!! the only thing is alot of people say they get there order in like 3-4 days well I didn't get mine for like a week in a half to two weeks...but that's probably because I'm in Cali and it ships from New Jersey so that was expected. So Far, So Good!Let me start by saying that this my first time to purchase a Solia Product. I have 3 broken Flat Irons from a major competitor. Each iron lasted under 15 months and I was looking for a warranty that was longer than 12 months. I have been using my new Solia for approximately 10 days and overall, I am relatively pleased with it. The Tourlamine plates make a huge difference in the appearance of my hair. It is shiny and stays straight throughout the day. My biggest concern, however, is the temperature control mechanism. You can not see the numbers to know what temperature you are selecting. STORE BRANDS NO MORE WITH THE WARRANTY YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE AND IT'S PINK!!! Awesome Iron - Former Sedu & Croc UserThis is the best iron I've ever used...and I knows my way around flat irons! I have medium curly hair (thing Mirrah Carey circa 1991)and this iron works awazingly well. I got this iron after trying a Croc infrared iron that was nearly 2x the price. The Croc snagged my hair, didn't get it completely straight and didn't do well when I tried to make curls b/c of it's flat plates. This iron did all those things perfectly. I needed a new flat iron b/c my well loved and over used Sedu iron bit the dust recently. I am glad a switch from Sedu. The Sedu worked well, but this is superior.posted Nov 3, 2009Link to this post

Even With Warranty, And 3 Pink Solia Flat Irons Later, Its Still BrokenI had got this flat iron because it looked cute and the price was reasonable. At first I loved it but within a few months the light broke and I could never tell when it would heat up. I had warranty and got sent a new one with a $10 shipping fee.. I wasnt too happy about the fee but figured it was better than having to get a brand new one.. I got my second one and it made my hair smell so bad ! I could not take the smell anymore and I never had smelly hair before and was not using any different products in my hair.. So I got a third iron free of shipping and its broken as well! The plastic keeps breaking off around the plates and the light sometimes does not turn on. I gave up on this iron. I would never buy this brand again. Better Than Any OtherI love this flat iron. I have natural hair which is very wavy and it made my hair silky straight and shiny. This flat iron is better than any other I have ever had and on top of that it's cute. Well worth the price!

I didn't think there would be a difference between this and the ones you could pick up at a drugstore. Wrong! I was amazed. I have straight hair but my solia makes it pin-straight and super smooth! It's also great for creating waves and curls. Annddd, it's pink so I had to have it (it matches with my new Elchim hairdryer and jilbere de paris curling iron!! Broke After 1 Yearmy straightener worked great until about a week ago when it just wouldn't turn on. i didn't overuse it--probably three times a week AT THE MOST. i don't remember my customer information and threw away th receipt so i can't get the warranty but i reccommend keeping that the whole time you use the straightener because solia does have a 2 year warranty.posted Oct 20, 2009Link to this post -

Nicolei got this iron a few weeks ago and the first time i tried it it was amazing it worked so well on my hair because my hair is very very thick and this iron went threw it like no problem and it used to take me like a good hour to straitin my hair and now it takes me like 20 good min.but other than that i love it bacause u can also curl your hair for fancy nights and u can wavee it how ever you would like to and it works so well .my fav thing about this iron is it heats up like in 1 min or less and of course its pink lmao.another thing i enjoy about this iron is that the heat is wonderful it gets so hot and the hotter it gets the better it flat irons itt.. but the only reason i rated <good> was beacuse chi is better brand but im telling you it does the work and i like it very much such as my new best friend when im ggetting ready in the morning.=) get it its great and if u dont like it you hav 30 or 60 days to ship it bac(: pce <3posted Oct 18, 2009Link to this post

Best Hair StraightenerI have been straightening my hair for 11 years. I started with numerous hot tools straighteners that damaged my hair and continuously found myself needing to buy a new one every 2 months. I bought my solia straightener during the fall of 2006 and it still works amazingly. It will straighten your hair while leaving body and volume and when desired it will leave your hair pin straight.
