Great Product For Curly Hair!When I was in the U.S. I was addicted to CHI hair straighteners. I thought I wasn't going to be able to live without my CHI. When I moved to Germany -- I read all of the reviews for the Sedu, so I thought I would give it a try - and I am glad I did! This product is amazing! Pretty GoodI bought this Sedu for a trip to Europe, having read all the stories about US flatiron blowouts with voltage converters overseas. I used it three times during my trip (Italy, Croatia), and had no problems. I like the adjustable temp, although even the higher temps did not handle my thick, curly hair as well as my US GHD. This Flat Iron Works Great !I bought the Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Straightner -plug type C for a recent trip to Italy. I'm so glad that I bought it ! I have coarse, curly hair and it did a fantastic job - my hair was smooth and silky. The Sedu worked as good as the GHD flat iron I have at home. It was worth it to spend the money to buy a flat iron with the 220-240 V and the correct plug type. On a previous trip to Europe a few years ago I tried to use my usual flat iron with an adapter and converter, but it not work at all.posted Apr 9, 2010Link to this post

It Is A Really Great Straightener. I Would Def. Recommend Anyone To Get It.I have the Chi straightener at home and i love it too. It is just that i moved to my home country where the voltage is 220V and i couldnt use my chi so i decided to get another chi that i could use here but instead i came across this straightener and i do not regret it finding it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT. It gets hot suuuuper fast. It straights my hair great! It does everything it promises. I only use it once a week though bc i do not like putting so much heat on my hair but it works amazingly! I love this straightner!! I have had two CHIs in the past and after using this straightner I will NEVER go back to another CHI. The CHI made my hair feel brittle and gave me little fly aways at the top of my head. The SEDU makes my hair silky smooth everytime and it never pulls my hair. Not Quite Worth ItI have two Sedu straighteners. When I lived in America, I LOVED my Sedu and used it nearly everyday. It kept my hair straight and as a performer, it always came along with me to shows. During preparation, my friends would beg me to use it. It just worked too well. Now, flash to the other side of the world. When I moved to Thailand, I knew I would have to find a new straightener. I found this Sedu straightener and was relieved. But... It would NOT keep my hair straightened very well. I have curly, thick hair and although it would straighten my hair quickly, by the end of the school day, my hair would very wavy. It is not rainy season right now, so it is not very humid at all. I was rather unhappy. And to top off this bad experience, it BROKE after three months. I know it has a warranty attached to it, but I am a poor student and 50 USD + the cost of shipping it to the US is hardly worth getting a new one just to have it break again. Its A Winner!i was so confused as whether what flat iron to get for my trip to india, my hair is thick and wavy and freaks out at any sort of humidity, i contemplated whether to get a american flat iron with a converter or go all out and get a european flat iron, and i must say its totally worth it dont go for converters it will destroy the product by making the coil burn out very quickly, so if ur considering getting this product wondering whether it will work 4 u or not , get it you will be satisfied!!!!!!!!!!!!!posted Sep 12, 2009Link to this post
