Swivel Cord UpdateI wanted to follow on from my previous review, in which I mentioned that the cord does not swivel, and it points towards the controls side of the iron, meaning you have to put it control side down, making it unsteady. I have been in touch with Folica.com and it turns out I have a faulty iron. NOTE: Sedue have stopped making this iron a swivel cord because it extends the life of the product to have a non-swivel cord. So the cord does NOT swivel. However, mine being pointed the wrong way, meaning you have to put it control side down, is a fault and they are sending me a new one immediately.
Please do order from Folica.com, they are incredible. When I emailed about the fault, they replied within an hour or so, with a pre-printed return label, and the very next morning I had an email letting me know they have shipped a new one. I haven't even returned the other one yet! I think they have the best customer service I have ever experienced from any online company and I will not go elsewhere - Folica.com is where I will shop!

Great Product... Fast Delivery....I ordered my sedu flat iron a couple of weeks ago... first of all I wanted to mention how quick my order arrived. I ordered it on a Wednesday; it was here by that Friday... This Is The One For YouStop spending hours reading reviews and going back and forth on your decision. This is the flat iron you want to buy. You will not be disappointed. The sedu heats up FAST, slid through my hair like silk - seriously - like silk. No hairs getting caught. and with one stroke it was pin straight and shiny shiny shiny. I prefer the 1" Sedu over the 1.5 because the smaller one allows you to get close to your scalp, getting those little curly-wurlies. I also have bangs and the 1" is much better for bangs. My hair stayed pin straight until I washed it (2 days) and feels so smooth! It is so lightweight, there is no way your arms could ache using this. Also, my hair is so thick it's insane - seriously, EVERYONE comments on what thick hair I have, but this only took me about 20-25 minutes to straighten in small sections. I am so in love with it - trust me - you will not regret this purchase. Just buy it.
Only 2 small things I was dissappointed about - #1 - the cord doesn't swivel and because of that #2 you have to set it down with the controls facing downwards...and that the controls make it unsteady to set down. A bit annoying.posted Mar 18, 2011Link to this post -

In Love!!This flat iron is worth its price. It does a great job straighting my natural hair. I bought this flat iron when i started transitioning from relaxed hair to natural, in order to help me mix both hair textures together. And boy!! did it do its job. It left my hair straight and extremely shiny, and the best part is it didn't damage my hair.And i can also create volume with this flat iron which is also amazing. The only thing i do not like about this flat iron is that within the first 4 months of its purchase, it no longer wanted to turn on. In other words it broke without a reason i could think of. But thanks to the warranty i got another one sent to me with minor fees included, but hey it was worth it. Excellent Flat IronI never write reviews, but honestly this flat iron was just so wonderful I felt that it was a must to write one. First off, I've been straightening my hair for 6 years so far and I've had multiple straighteners. This has been the absolute best straightener I've owned. My absolute favorite straightener is a Sultra Seductress, but let's be serious, that's rather expensive. This straightener is cheaper not to mention it does and exceptional job. It heats up very quickly and leaves my hair straight until I wash it.(my hair is very curly and thick) I have no problems with humidity or even rain getting in my hair, it still doesn't curl. One thing I really love other than it working so well is, it is extremely lightweight! Seriously, this straightener has spoiled me. I would most definitely recommend this flat iron. Another quick fact, with this flat iron, I don't have to turn the heat up all the way either to get my hair perfectly straight, I normally keep the heat on 320 to 360 degrees opposed to the full heat.(AND I would not recommend turning it all the way up if you have color treated hair as in bleached first. Your hair would already be damaged and the turning up the heat is just not good for it, so keep the heat a little lower on those sections if you have them). Sooo Much Better Than A Chi!I used a Chi for several years and after it burnt out, a friend of mine told me to try a Sedu instead. I am now obsessed! I used to have small, broken pieces of hair when using a Chi and now those are all gone. My hair looks and feels so much healthier when I use my Sedu as opposed to a Chi. I have naturally blonde hair and I feel like the Chi made my hair more brassy and yellow looking. It is shiny and straight and so natural looking. It is definitely worth spending a little more money on something that won't burn your hair. Pretty Peeved Off...i JUST got my new sedu in the mail today and I was so excited to try it out. I set everything up and got ready to do my hair. well it was GREAT. i got to do half of my head, and then I took a break for ten minutes to sit with my daughter. I go back to finish the other half of my head and to my amazement it wouldnt turn on anymore. I now have half a head of curly hair that cannot be done because I do not have another iron. It was great for the entire 20 minutes it worked. Theyre sending out a new one, but I'm still pretty upset I spent 120 dollars for it to break the same day.posted Feb 18, 2011Link to this post -

Great With One DrawbackI really like this iron; it straightens my hair without taking the life out of it. My hair feels smooth but not totally thinned out like with other irons. The only drawback is that the casing gets very hot and I have burned by neck and back with just a brief touch.
