The Best Flat IronI ordered this exact flat iron off folica.com over 3 years ago. I love this flat iron, it turns my hair from big and poofy into straight and sleek WITHOUT having to crank up the heat all the way. It eliminates all the frizz and makes it feel soft and look shiny. You can also create beautiful curls with this flat iron. The ceramic plates are still smooth with no cracks or breaks. It doesn't take long to flat iron my hair because you only need to run it through once or twice, when I flat iron in about 1-2 inch sections. It still looks and works just as great as the day I got it in the mail with my free flat iron holder. I think as long as you take good care of this flat iron it will work well for you for a long time. *The one problem I did have with the flat iron was that it wouldn't turn on after I had it for a few months, but I had the 1-year warranty and they sent me a new one right away. Since then, absolutely no problems.

Sedu Rocks!I bought a Sedu ceramic flat iron for the first time in 2005. The poor thing died yesterday. =( I had it for 6 YEARS! I did a little research on line and went to a few beauty supply stores in search of another straightener but decided to purchase the Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron. I trust the product. =)

Alright, But Not Worth The MoneyI, like many of you researched my purchase to death before buying. I must have read every review for all straighteners available. I have quite a bit of experience with Chi products and loved my iron until it died-after 4 years of faithful, gorgeous performance.
I really wish I had gone with my gut and just bought another Chi. The Sedu iron is fine, but I find it takes me twice as long to straighten as it used to. I only purchased that Sedu due to the fact that it has different settings so I assumed I would be able to accomplish what my Chi did in the same amount of time but at a lower heat setting. Not quite. It takes me 10 or so minutes to fully straighten my long hair, and now if I am in a rush, I dread the process. I think the 1inch plates are good for those with really short hair (no longer than your chin). I bought it stupidly as a bunch of reviewers said that with long hair and bangs they preferred it.
All in all, it does the job, but certainly isn't the best straightener out there for your money. So buy wisely. I will likely not repurchase this model when it dies.

Found The One!I have tried the Chi, the GHD, the GVP, the Croc, and this iron is by far the BEST!
Folica.com sent it so fast ( i ordered on a friday and got it on a monday!!!!!) My hair was soooo soooo soooooooo soft! my friends all asked if i just got it cut! No Hair DamageThe reviews led me to believe this iron is a miracle worker. It is a very good iron but not incredible. If you have dry hair it won't stop your hair from looking dry. I like that it doesn't snag or pull on my hair, unlike my Chi. I would always have to cut my hair a lot because the ends would get damaged constantly. It is a a lot smaller than I expected but it still straightens in about 10-15 minutes for my shoulder length hair. Also unlike my Chi, the Sedu keeps my hair straight all day. Not so great for curling because of the squared edges. Overall I am pleased with my purchase and may check out other Sedu products in the future :)posted Mar 25, 2011Link to this post -

Everything I'd Hoped For.I was looking for an iron that would help me tame thick, frizzy hair to a degree that would hold in humid Miami weather. When I first received the iron, I wasn't impressed; until I turned the heat to the setting I actually needed (it was too low). Amazing! Silky smooth hair in 30 minutes--which for me was a never before. It's also very lightweight which threw me off at first, but when I went to use my Chi, I found I not only missed the lightweight Sedu, I worked better with it!
