Decent Little Flat Iron...I was so excited to get my Sedu iron. I used it the first day I received it to test it out, and I was very impressed. My hair looks healthier after I straighten it with the Sedu and overall smooth. It doesn't seem to get as straight as I want it unless I use two passes over 300 degrees, but I will take what the Sedu gives me as opposed to more damage my other flat iron created. I typically had to use three or four passes with my other iron.
I live in a very hot/humid environment (the South), but the Sedu seems to keep my hair straight for the majority of the day as long as I don't spend the entire day outside. I have naturally wavy/curly hair, thick/course, color treated hair that can easily damage because my ends are somewhat thin.
I was definitely impressed over the last few motnhs I have had it that it has not caused any damage to my hair that I can tell. The flat iron I had before was a Corioliss, which caused terrible split ends; so bad that I had to have about two inches cut off my hair on my last salon visit.
I will only have to have my usual trim with my color this time thanks to the Sedu.
I use Nexus Pro Mend leave-in cream before I dry my hair, and I use Kenra's flat iron spray on each section before I flat iron it.
My stylist advised me to use mousse that is alcohol free since most mousses' will dry out your hair. I found Joico mousse and Joico K-pac shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask, and my hair hasn't been in this good of a condition in a really long time.

Like It!I have this Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1") almost twelve days. I use it almost everyday. It heats to 320C in a few seconds (although the temperature can be changed, but I don't want to use higher settings). I have mid-length hair and it usually takes less than 10 minutes to iron it. No More StaticI have used flat irons for the last ten years, and the Sedu Pro is the first flat iron which does not produce static in my hair. I also like the heat settings (not too hot, yet able to straighten my hair). My hair "holds heat" and the flat irons I have used previously sometimes smarted/burned my fingers due the the heat setting used, which were necessary to straighten my hair. My hair also does not smell like "heat" after straightening it with the Sedu Pro, as was the case with the previous flat irons I used.

Hated It!!I originally came on the site to purchase a CHI because I recently used one and my hair was excellent, but when the comparison said that the SEDU PRO was the best buy I went for it. When I finally used the SEDU PRO the outside of the iron was so hot that I could not touch it with my hand. It says that is can curl but, that did not seem possible and I am very experienced with curling and flipping my hair. SEDU PRO also made my hair very dry. I had to wear a hood on my head to work the next day and I borrowed my cousin's SOLIA to get all of my kinks out. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!posted May 5, 2011Link to this post -

This is one of the best flat irons if you have natural hair ladies! The first time I used this flat iron I borrowed it from a friend...It did the job so well that I had to invest in one for myself! It is great! I can straighten my hair and it will last until the next time I wash it. The rain and humidity is not a problem!! Great For Fine HairI have really fine hair and am currently transitioning from chemically processed to natural hair. This is also my first time using a flat iron. The lowest heat setting is enough heat to straighten my hair and I don't have to make more than two swipes on my hair. I Love This Flat IronI used this flat iron twice so far and I really like it. It made my hair so soft and light. It's very easy to use and it heats up really fast. If I turn it on, by the time I part my hair and separate a piece of hair to flat iron, it's already hot and ready to go. I love the look it gave me. It gave me the salon look that I've been trying to get for months now. It's a great flat iron because it prevents less heat damage. It's an overall good quality flat iron. I would recommend this to friends. This is definitely a good buy. Expensive, I know but Folica usually have sales like $25 off or 20% off all hot tools.
