I Loved It, Until...the wires somewhere in the base of the straightener shorted out, and now it won't stay on long enough to heat up. I've only had it for about 10 months, and for spending upwards of $100 on it, that's rather annoying. I wouldn't mind merely having to take advantage of the warranty and return it, except this involves shipping it halfway across the country on my own, which could take weeks. If I wasn't a poor college student, I'd just throw it away and buy something else, but I'd like to get my money's worth. Amazing!I ordered this hair straightener almost 4 years ago, and it's still working great! I have to say it does a wonderful job straightening my hair and keeping it smooth. Was Worried But Now I Love It!my sister had this straightener since she was in 7th grade and it still works. she's in 11th grade now. so going into middle school i wanted my own straightener and i was going to get a chi but decided to be safe and go with a straightener i already knew worked well. i've had it for 3 months now and its awesome, i just shower let my hair natural and straighten it. it looks shiny and healthy and pin straight. when i first got it my hair had some flyaways but i used john frida straighten spray which got rid of that! it only takes about 10 minutes depending on how wavy my hair is. Don't Buy It!!This is horribleee!!! It makes my hair have SO much static after I use it! My hair looks SO much better when I use my CHI. I thought I'd try this, but it was a horrible mistake! Don't do it - go with a CHI if you're unsure! My hair looks so healthy when I use my CHI, but when I use this straightener it looks damaged - like I haven't had a haircut in years (which isn't so)! Best EverSo I've had my Sedu straightener for well over 5 years and it's still working like the first day I got it. It's a fantastic product. It straightens my hair while still leaving it soft and silky. It doesn't dry out my hair like most straighteners do. It's really worth the money to have a product last this long. Stop Trying To Find A Better Straightener And Buy This One!!!!So i had a Chi, and the chord broke and I decided I was going to buy a different brand this time. I found Folica.com (best website ever!!) and i started looking for a straightener that would do everything I wanted it to be able to do. I can across this one and I liked it, but then I also like the Solia!! ughh! I had never tried any other proffessional type straightener other than my Chi, so needless to say, this was a very tough decision for me! But im sooo happy with my choice. I was afraid this one wouldn't be able to curl my hair, but it definetly can! Its better than a Chi, because this keeps my hair PIN STRAIGHT. I straightened my hair yesterday morning and its still straight right now! Honestly my mind is blown away at how amazing this product is and I definetly would recommend it to anyone! I have thin hair curly hair (shirley temple ringlets) that straightenen really easily, but rarely stay straight for more than 2 hours if Im lucky and their is no humidity out side. Being from the Gulf coast, it is ALWAYS humid and my hair is still pin straight with the SEDU!!! This tool is alittle expensive, but certainly worth it! The Best IronI have purchased this flat iron twice. I was really pleased with the first one for so many reasons but it did not pull my hair. It makes it very soft and silky without damage. I looked and looked for many flat irons and decided to go with this one becasue I had good results. The only reason I had to buy a new one after two years was becasue I accidentally got my old one wet and it ruined the iron but that was my fault. Perfect!I love this flat iron!!! Best I have ever used!!! I have long, relaxed, thick, african american hair and have had bad experiences with flat irons. Let me tell you if you buy this flat iron you won't regret it! When I usually flat iron my hair its poofy and only has body for about 2 days then it goes back to being stiff and greasy. Doesn't Heat Up Enough....I was totally looking forward to this flat iron - based on the reviews I read here. It doesn't seem to heat like it should. It certainly isn't "single-pass" as I continued to go over area's that I had already done and even then, I wasn't impressed.
