Worth Every Penny!I thought I had a very good flat iron...that was until I tried Sedu. You can forget about everything you know about straitening your hair, this product is out of this world. My hair is very thick and curly hair, but that is no problem for my Sedu. My styling time is cut in half, and, living in Seattle where it rains 250 days a year, I don?جø¬?t have to worry about the humidity anymore. Fly-aways and frizz keep off even after my hair faces some rain. I have the 1" and just bought the 1"1/2 too. Folica is great, if you are concerned about that. Its Just.... Ok.I bought the sedu about 2 yrs ago. I am african-american with long curly hair. It used 2 take me around 3 hrs to straighten my hair. But this iron knocked that time almost in half. It still works and everything, being that I live in the south where its too humid to even straighten your hair so i haven't worn it out. It did leave my hair softer feeling than other irons. But I still dont see what the big deal is about it. If i go 2 a professional and she uses a chi, my hair comes out even better. Its also very hard 2 clean... hhmmm. Going StrongI've had this flat iron for almost a year and I'm not sure if it's because it's built to last long or because I only use it once or twice a week. It has a really long durable cord and really heats up! I've had cheaper irons before but you really get your money's worth with this one. Like The Sedu But....Whoo hoo! that was my reaction when I look at the results of my hair in the mirror. However, my Sedu stopped working after only three months. When I went to return it, I found out that you have to PAY to ship it AND Pay to get it back. I was like what? It's not my fault it stopped working. Amazing! A Definate Must!before i purchased this flat iron i had a chi nano and dont get me wrong it was a good straightener but i wanted to try a new kind. this straightener is the perfect size its just small enough and it suupppppeeerrrr light!! it does everything! when you straighten your hair it leaves it super soft and silky, it cuts the time in half. it also curls like a dream! its so easy and looks amazing! you can pick the tightness of the curls like that! i definatley recomend this straightener to anyone its one tool that does it all! its well worth the money! ;)posted Apr 1, 2010Link to this post

Everyday Is A Good Hair Day!I love the Sedu 1" flat iron. I have very wavy and curly hair. I always had to work hard with a round brush and blow dryer just to have tamed hair. Since I've been using the Sedu, everyday is a good hair day. I get so many compliments, I feel good about my hair. This flat iron is easy to use and heats up quickly. Amazing!!The flat iron is amazing. I am black with curly hair and it works wonders. However, I did not like how I bought it and in the one year it must have stopped working on me at least 3 times; i had to ship it back all those times.... Bummer, but the last time I shipped it back they sent me a new one with a lovely pouch for it, so, I'll buy it again when this one is done. Maybe...maybe NotI don't have any rave reviews about the Sedu. It did not have a swivel cord, which wasn't the end of the world, but did get a little frustrating from time to time. What was the end of the world for me was the fact that I actually feel that it has left my hair feeling dry and dull. The texture of my hair has progressively gotten worse with the use of the Sedu. It feels like its fried and frizzy all the time, and that's because I don't use it on a high heat setting and put heat protecting product in my hair before straightening it. Also, if you have short to medium length hair (from your jaw down to about your shoulders) it might be hard to curl it. My curls usually come out flat and dull looking, and I attribute that to the fact that the Sedu has a rectangular shape. While I know that it is not a curling iron, it does claim to be able to curl your hair, and it doesn't do that well with shorter hair. The outer shell covering the plates also gets VERY hot because it is not as thick as the shell of other straighteners. I don't know. Maybe I am the only person who felt this way about the Sedu..but maybe not.posted Mar 31, 2010Link to this post -

Great, But Short LifeI brought a sedu and loved it, until a year later when it stopped working properly--the swivel cord had to be at just the right angle for the straightener to be turned on. I didn't have the paper or bill so I was left to buy a new straightener. Thinking that it must have just been a faulty straightener, I bought a second one, the exact same type. It's been two years and the exact same thing has happened. Quit Working In Less Than 2 Weeks.I loved the flatiron the first week, it worked great. During the 2nd week, I plugged it in and it wouldn't turn on. It just quit working for no reason. I never even dropped it!!! I am hoping this was just a fluke because I just sent it back to get a replacement instead of a refund. Obviously, if the replacement does the same thing, I will be asking for a refund. Keeping my fingers crossed that the next one works!!!posted Mar 30, 2010Link to this post
