Didn't Hold Up Well....Unless mine is 'defective', this product didn't hold up well. I purchased this product from this site about 2 years ago. It worked fine for the first 6 months or so, although I didn't notice a huge difference between this one and my old one. The old one is a 1 inch Hai that cost like half as much. Anyhow, after 6 months the plates began to slip around. When they slip around, they also end up grabbing and pulling out hairs. I don't think any girl wants their straightener to randomly pluck hairs! It is painful and happened several times each time I use it. I haven't bought a new one, because I spent over $100 on this one. It is just REALLY annoying because I am having at least a couple hairs yanked out of my head every single day! To top it off, it doesn't work that great! It is does have high quality results, but I see no difference between this and the Hai that I had or basic model Chi straighteners.posted Sep 4, 2011Link to this post -

Worth The Money!I was worried at first about spending so much on a straightener, but after reading all the reviews I thought I'd go ahead and try it since I was wanting to try something different then a CHI again because I feel like those never lasted that long. I also always felt like the CHI was ripping my hair when I used it. I've had no problems with this straightener and it was so worth the money I spent on it. This Is My Secret WeaponI have had manyhair straiteners and this one is BY FAR the best one Ive used I have medium length, thick, dark brown, curly hair and this takes me 45 min TOPS! others i would have to go over each section many times but with this i go over once maybe twice and its perfect! i use it almost everymorning before school and it lasts all day! i use chi thermal shield spray on each strand and it makes my hair look very shiny! great investment. totally worth the moneyposted Sep 2, 2011Link to this post

Leaves Hair Looking And Feeling Amazing!This flat iron is beyond amazing. I have long and thick hair and was looking for something that would straighten my hair fast without burning it to a crisp. I can straighten my hair within 10 minutes which before with other flat irons would take at least 25 minutes. It leaves my hair looking amazing and feeling so soft. Yikes .Okay - I am obsessed with straighteners. I have GHD, CHI, FHI , Sedu , NP ect. I have the thin version of this which works amazing for making curls but takes me FOREVER to straighten my hair ... I thought the bigger version would work better ... this should qualify as a mini straightener it is SO tiny , the plates are 11/2 width along but are so tiny ! it takes forever to straighten your hair , this is not at all what i thought i was ordering , i'm so dissapointed ! I sent it back for refund and decided to buy a new big 2 inch GHD instead , mines from the UK so hopefully this one will work better in the plugs here. Don't waste your money on this ! Not At All What I ExpectedI got the sedu hoping it would make my hair super shiny,straight and soft. Well it does make it straight for the whole day but it doesn't leave it soft or shiny. It seems to take all the moisture out and leave my hair looking dull. It takes me a few days to restore my hair back to as soft as it was before I use it because it dries my hair out so much. Great While It Lasted!I spent a reeeaally long time looking for a great hair straightener that would actually STRAIGHTEN my hair with minimal damage and would not require me to go over the same strands several times. Before I had a cheap $30 conair straightener that would straighten it, not w/out any damage, only to find my hair curling up a few hours later (if lucky). My hair is naturally curly and extremely frizzy, to say the least. I decided to purchase the sedu, the more expensive alternative to the chi, since I believed it would work better.
When I finally received my sedu and opened the box I was so excited!! The box was beautiful, although this model of the sedu straightener was not, but it was not purchased for aesthetic reasons. I took my new straightener for a test drive and was surprised as to how smooth I found my hair after I was done. Although, I was far more astonished when I saw that my smooth & silky hair lasted ALL DAY, which is no simple feat when I live in a city w/ such high humidity levels!
However, it recently started malfunctioning. I turn it on and have to keep it tilted to one side the entire time that I am straightening my hair because it automatically turns off when tilt it to the other side and since I subconsciously do this it is a real pain to deal with. I purchased my sedu in July 2010, which makes it little more than a year that I have had it. Technically it still works, but it's inconvenient to use! It was a dream while it lasted, so much so that I have recently purchased the sedu revolution tourmaline ionic styling iron in pink (of course!) and hopes it lasts much longer than it's predecessor.posted Aug 27, 2011Link to this post -
