ShortlivedI purchased this iron about six months ago. It worked fabulous but only lasted 6 months. For some reason, a faulty wire I assume, it stopped working. If I play with the cord a bit it sometimes works but obviously that seems unsafe and unneccessary considering the regular price of this iron. Very Good Product!I purchased my first Sedu 1" Straightener about 4 years ago and was incredibly happy with it. Exactly 2 years in to it, it suddenly died on me. Fortunately, I had the warranty and was able to get a replacement one very quickly. Two years after that, the second one died. In speaking with my hair stylist, she said that is about the average life span of a good straightener (if you use it every day like I do). In the interim, I have been using a cheap straightener, and my hair has become so incredibly damaged. I can't wait to get my new Sedu. "my Miracle Worker"I am a white female with the thickest, kinkiest, frizziest head of hair with a mind of its own. Living in South Louisiana doesn't help either. This product is amazing and I never go anywhere without it. I have short to medium hair length so the 1" plates work easy and get the job done quickly. Pleasantly SurpristedI purchased this product because my hair is really prone to frizz in humid weather. I don't use a flat iron but I do use a high end blow dryer. I put ONE drop in my hair when it was very wet and it is down to between my shoulder blades. Even one drop did my whole head. My hair is tangle free and sooo soft and supple. I'm going to use half of one drop and that will be perfect for me. A Must Have!I love the way this product makes my hair look and feel! It doesn't make my hair feel oily, just don't put too much product in your hair. Jury Is Still OutI purchased this product because of the good reviews. I used it for the first time today and I think I used a bit too much. My hair is fine but I have a decent amount. Anyway, it does make it soft and shiny and bouncy. I did not notice ANY scent. I also got Amika's hair serum which does have a great scent. This product and the other go a long way. My hair is down to my shoulder blades and I only needed one drop. I would advise using it while hair is very wet or dry but if used dry used a TEENY bit unless your hair is very thick and long. It will last me a long time but when I run out I will purchase it again. I have to use it more to really get a good feel for it. I went out tonight and it was snowing and my hair did not frizz so that's good. Don't want to make this too long but when I'm shopping, I like to see what others think of a certain product. Just trying to help. I like Folica. My orders always get delivered really fast. Folica...you guys are really okay.:) only I didn't get a receipt in the box. Maybe next time they could put one in. Love ya anyway! Keep up the good work.

Best Straightener On The Market!This is the best straightener I have ever used. I have curly hair, and have tried other top brands, like CHI. Nothing has worked better. This straightener straightens quickly, and your hair STAYS straight all day, even in humidity. I have two sisters and they have both switched over to Sedu Pro, because it works. I bought my first one about 4 years ago, and just recently purchased a replacement. Great, But Not So Great That It Lasted 6 Months :(I did a little research when I looked into buying this flat iron, despite the handful of reviews that it has a short life span- I still went ahead and purchased it. Needless to say, 6 months later here I am having to deal with a useless iron...
Although the last 6 months, this iron has worked tremendously well on my thick curly hair. It definitely maintains a shine & flattens well- better than my CHI flatiron. I especially liked the varying temperatures you can set it too. Lowest when I had blonde hair, higher when I had my natural dark hair.
Unfortunately with just normal wear and tear with no abuse at all, it suddenly stopped working on me one morning. Twisting the cord in certain ways would get it to turn back on, but only for a minute before it goes out again. I'm guessing there is a bad connection with the cord?
You would think after all these complaints, they would resort to fixing the situation. Luckily this iron has 2 year warranty. Let's hope I dont have to go thru 4 irons within the next couple years...
