Remington Wet 2 Straight Flat Iron (2")

ValerieOhioIt's A Crappy Iron!I know youre thinking, wow theres only 1 bad review here. Dont be fooled in to buying it.Professional flat irons (the ones that cost around 100 bucks) last a LIFETIME. They keep your hair straight for as long as you keep it dry! If you straghtened your hair with an EXPENSIVE one and didnt wash it for a month, your hair would still be straight.Straighteners like these, well they only keep your hair straight for a few HOURS. Not only that, but they are BULKY, HEAVY, and EXTREMELY DAMAGING! They will damage your hair WAY more than any expensive iron. The good reviews are from people who are used to crappy irons. The bad reviews come from people who use PROFESSIONAL irons. Do yourself a favor AND SAVE YOUR MONEY to get a REAL straightener! There are MUCH BETTER STRAIGHTENERS OUT THERE!posted Nov 14, 2007Link to this post

This flat iron is pretty good. i got it about two years. its best when not used wet. it makes my hair completey frizzy when used wet. its worth the price.posted Nov 1, 2007Link to this post

JenFloridaHairChemically Treated HairGreat Product For The PriceI have very thick, coarse, naturally wavy hair. Ive used other regular flat irons but they did nothing when confronted with humidity. It has settings for wet, damp or dry hair, with temperature settings 1-30, the highest being almost 400 degrees! It heats up fast and retains temperature very well. This iron made my hair silky smooth and prevented frizz like a god (unless it was pouring rain). My hair is naturally very voluminous and this relieved me of some of that volume thankfully. No more blowouts and I even got a comment from my hair stylist that my hair was so much more healthier now and asked me how I did it. My only complaint is that the electrical cords swivel mechanism seemed to be loose and the iron would frequently shut off when the cord was moved around so I was constantly having to turn it back on, but a bit of tape to hold it in position and it worked fine. I could have returned it to the store for an exchange but I didnt have the reciept at that point and it was an easy enough fix so it was no big deal to me. Also you want to make sure to clean the plates every once in a while to keep it performing tip-top, but thats with any iron. Other than that, I would HIGHLY recommend this iron for someone wanting to give it a try and not have to dish out big bucks.posted Oct 30, 2007Link to this post
