    Ahhhhh!!!!
Kay, so i was at my friends house and she has/ had a Wt2Straight flat iron. it was, like, 11:45pm and i was acting crazy and i pulled it out. hers is an older model, fyi. and.... Holy Crap!!!!!! i love it completely! i didn't use it on my wet hair, although i should have tried due to the bad reviews. it made my hair look totally perfect: no split ends, no greasy mess like it was before i had straightened, and i never did smell that burnt hair smell all you haters are talking about. i know there is no such thing as a perfect flat iron, but still! every one has a different hair type, so if it didn't work for yours, than don't post negative reviews!! sorry if i come off as offensive, but it worked for me so im giving it a fantastic review unlike some others.

Definitely A Great Flat Iron For Those Who Know How To Use It.
First off, I'm seeing a ton of bad reviews on this product. I use mine almost everyday, on both wet and dry hair and it always turns out how I like it. My hair ends up soft, shiny, and flowing.

The only piece of advice I have for you ladies is to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. In order to prevent damage with ANY type of tool for your hair, you must first understand how to use it properly. Women tend to put flat irons on too high of heat settings because they are under the impression that it will work faster. Hair styling takes patience and skill, and depending on your hair type it will take a decent amount of time. In the instructions, it clearly states that you must only use it on damp hair and put it on the steam setting. If using it on dry hair, turn the steam setting OFF. That's VERY important. A simple heat treatment like herbal essences long term relationship leave in conditioner works wonderfully. Mind you, I have very thick, curly hair and this flat iron has been wonderful.

Again, ladies, please read the instructions and use your product properly before you give a false review. All tools need to be taken care of in order for them to last.

Seems Good At First But Quickly Deteriorates In Quality.
This was the second of two straighteners I had ever owned. The first was by Bed Head, a 'Helen of Troy' model. I will never know if that one would've damaged my hair because it stopped working/heating up so fast I never could've known. But as for this remington, it was horrible.
At first when you straighten your hair with it, it really does seem great, it does a good job. but very quickly (like less than 4 months) it just starts..failing. it still heats up but it greatly damages your hair. I have thick, slightly wavy hair and it was obviously thinner after using this. and part of my hair id dyed and it REALLY damaged that. and no, I never straightened wet hair. At most I would straighten barely damp hair that didn't dry because of the way I slept on it I guess.
Also, after this I used the sedu, and realized how much even worse it was.
for one, if you straighten your hair it will not be straight the next day like with the sedu. it will be messy and need a good amount of restraighteneing rather then when I used the sedu I just had to brush my hair out and fix my bangs.
also, around the end of this things lifespan/when I quit using it, one of the main reasons was because it made my hair extremeley statit. this was the most annoying attribute besides the damage it caused. at first, no stait, but after less than 4-5 months, couldn't straighten w/o tons of static appearing!

overall, I give this straightener a bad rating because of the damage it causes, which is a great deal. I am aware all hot hair devices will cause some form of damage, but you get what you pay for I suppose. some people have told me the plates are 'ceramic coated' rather than 100% ceramic, which would explain why it starts off okay then fails, but even if that is a rumour it doesn't really matter because it indeed does fail quickly.
partially while I had this straightener I was new to straighteners beside my previous one I barely ever used(the bed head) because it took forever to actually do the job, but anyways when I first used this I didn't use heat protectant. I just didn't know. but then I started using Nexxus which only seemed to make my hair more dry. i feel that a bad product is a bad product and heat protectant would've only minimally helped, though. these days I use serums and better heat protectants.
If I had a choice I would rather go back in time and buy a $300 straightener than use this because of the amount of thickness it took out of my hair in a timespane of literally 3 months, my yearbook picture has a thick ponytail and now it it much thinner, and I think mostly is because it damaged my color-treated hair with is 3/4 of my hair, more, causing breakage.

Does The Job If You Are On A Tight Budget
I've had the Remington Wet2Straight hair straightener for over 2 years, which is longer than I expected an inexpensive straightener to last. I have VERY thick, wavy, frizzy hair and it is very hard to manage and style. I tried straightening my hair while it was wet or damp and it does not turn out well. It makes your hair almost stiff and gives it no movement, I wouldn't recommend it. But, on dry hair it does what it supposed to do. Because I have thick and frizzy hair, I have to go over each section atleast twice for it to really straighten. If you are on a tight budget and can't afford a more expensive straightener then this is a good product to buy.

    Wet 2 Straight???????
I got this straightener about 2 years ago so it is the older version of this. The only difference in the actual product is the option to take off the steam on the higher settings. If you buy this straightener DO NOT use it on wet hair!!! I used it once on my hair wet and it made my wet hair straight but when it dried,, it was puffy and wavy like it normally is!!! Unless your hair is straight and you are not going to use it a lot,,,, don't buy this straightener!!!!

Do Yourself A Favor- Don't Buy This
Meh. Not so good. It straightens okay I guess but it only stays for about two. Hours and damages my hair TREMENDOUSLY. It's the only one I have and can't afford a better one but my mom really likes it. It also makes my hair smell awful and burnt. Please do yourself a favor and don't buy this. It's a waste of money.
