Best Straightener Out There!This straightener is the most reliable I have found. After looking for a quality flat iron for months and months and asking everyone I know in the hair buisness, most of them recommended this product.Also, the Chi used to be good, which is why people that got them many years ago still have them, but I heard that they changed companies and are now being made in a low quality factory.If you want a great long lasting product this is definatly the way to go, even if you have to spend a few extra bucks.posted May 8, 2008Link to this post -

EhhhhThis product is AMAZING when it actually works. I had the product for not even 2 weeks when it overheated and melted the plastic on the straightener and almost started a fire. I went to the hair salon where I purchased it and they gave me a new one. Its barely 6 months later and now this straighten is not working AGAIN. The light keeps blinking on and off. What I Think About Paul Mitchell Flat Ironmy honest opinion about the paul mitchell flat iron was great when i first got it. i took very good care of it, and it broke about 3 weeks after buying it. they wouldnt let me return it because i didnt keep my receipt. i dont know why it broke, it still looks brand new but while i was using it the flat iron started smoking. now it wont turn on. so my honest opinion is it is horrible. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT. AND IF U R TAKING THE RISK.. AT LEAST KEEP UR RECIEPT!!posted Apr 30, 2008Link to this post

Safety Hazard!!!Ive owned my PM flat iron for about a year and although it works great, my biggest concern is the poor quality of the product! Within a couple of months there was a wire shortage and the flat iron would only turn on when in a certain position. I took really good care of it, so there shouldnt be a reason why it suddenly stopped working. Then one morning as I was straigtening my hair I heard a spark. The plug caught on fire. Love It So FarI have very thick, coarse, frizzy hair, so finding a straightner that keeps my hair straight in humidity seemed impossible. My stylist uses this one and I finally decided that Id spend the money and buy it. She did warn me that some of these straightners have had problems with shorts after about 12 months though. Anyway, I love this straightner. It makes my hair feel and appear smooth and soft. I do still have a few fly aways, but with my hair, I think its impossible to hold every hair in place. I would recommend this to anyone, especially thick, hard to manage hair. I keep mine set to 400 and I only have to go over my hair once. Was Amazing Until It Stoped Working!This flat iron seemed like a dream come true, until after only ten months the thing totally stopped working! Before this flat iron i had a chi, it was great too, but nearly a year later it quit working as well! This flat iron is truely amazing and much better than the chi, but for the price I expected a longer life. After only five months the green coating started chipping off, then i noticed that it didnt seem as hot as is used to be, then yesterday it just gave out. I took excellent care of this flat iron; i never dropped it or wrapped the cord around it. I did use it every day for at least 15 minutes a day; but this is supposed to be a salon quality flat iron, it should have lasted for at least 2 years. I have never been so dissapointed in a product performance, and the paul mitchell company has pitifull customer service. Was Perfect- Until It Stopped Working!This was given to me as a gift- I used it for a year, took very good care of it, not wrapping the cord around the flat iron, etc.Recently, the light started blinking on and off, similar to what i have been reading on here... the heat stops and what usually takes me 10 min to iron my hair now takes me almost an hour because I have to fiddle with it until the light turns on, let it heat and iron as much and as fast as i can, then let it re-heat. Poor QualityIve only had my iron for 14 months. For the price of the iron Im amazed at the poor quality!! Within 10 months the ceramic was chipping off and now (just like many others have said) there is a short in my wire. It is impossible to keep it on and straighten my hair at the same time!!!! My next flat iron will be a Chi! Many girls I know have had there Chi for 3+ yrs and No Problems!! Plus, theyre cheaper!!posted Mar 19, 2008Link to this post

AwesomeI have owned many different flat irons including the CHI and the FHI, I loved my CHI but after one year of use it broke, I wasnt very happy because CHIs are not cheap. So my hair stylist told me about this flat iron so I bought one and it is awesome it has lasted longer than the CHI and has done just as well on my hair as the CHI did for a better price...
