LaurenOnly Straightner I Will Use. Simply PerfectI puchased my Paul Mitchell Smoothing Iron in November 2006 and it STILL work just as it did the day I puchased it. It is now 2009 and still heats up in less than 15 seconds to full heat, keeps my hair straight for days and leaves no lines. I have traveled, moved apartments, and dropped my PM flatiron and it is quality construction because nothing has since broken or stopped working. I dont understand anyone who says different about this product. I would be lost without it, I have tried many others (working at a hair salon) including Rusk, Chi, and numerous others and still not gotten the AMAZING results as I do daily with this ironposted Mar 5, 2009Link to this post

LindsayNiskayuna, NYI Love This Flat IronI was a hairdresser for 2 1/2 years. I bought this flat iron 5 years ago, and it just died on me a month ago. It was the best float iron i have ever used, even better than the chi. I am most impressed with how long it lasted me. Definently worth the money, i am very disappionted that it is discontinued.posted Feb 24, 2009Link to this post

JericaPaul Mitchell Flat IronIm on my second one of these. The first one lasted maybe a year before it short circuited or something. The second one i bought did not come with the ceramic plates which was weird. so it does not glide smoothly through my hair, I hate it. I will probably never buy another one of these. Im currently looking to invest in another brand. I do like that it heats up quite quickly, works awesome for curling the hair.posted Jan 10, 2009Link to this post

MaryHouston, TexasHairCurly HairPallettes Break EasyI had my smoothing iron for 45 days and the pallette came off! I could not smooth my curly hair any longer! I would not recommend anyone to buy this smoothing iron. You will spend time and money to ship product back to the company for repair.posted Nov 17, 2008Link to this post

EmilyGreat Until The Wire Shorted OutI loved this flat iron, it made my hair super straight and smooth, until it stopped staying on. After just about 1 year of use, the light started blinking on and off while I was using it. It continued to get worse until the point where I had to hold the cord in place to keep it on. How annoying is it to have to straighten a section of hair, then set the thing back down so you can hold the wire just right to get it to heat back up before moving on to the next piece? Im surprised there hasnt been a recall on this yet seeing how many others have commented that the same thing has happened with theirs.posted Aug 22, 2008Link to this post

RebeecaNJThe Best I Have Ever Used!!I had heard from many of my friends that the chii was an incredible iron but, from speaking to my hair dresser, I have found that the chii short circuits fairly easily. The PM works amazingly and I have never seen my hair so straight(I have thick, incredibly wavy hair) I highly recommend this product!!=)posted Aug 16, 2008Link to this post
