D. HallLas Vegas, NVNot A Good IronI saw the informercial on the Maxiglide iron, and the inventor made it look so easy (isnt that what infomercials are supposed to do?), so I purchased it. However, this thing tears your hair out, gets stuck, and my hair is in no way healthy looking when Ive completed the ironing process. Plus, the steam concoction leaks constantly. I gave the iron about 4 tries, thinking Id get used to it, to no avail. Its the worst iron Ive ever purchased.posted Apr 8, 2007Link to this post

LorenI Love It But....i recieved this for xmas over a year ago and it worked so well on my hair. i used flat tools for four years and i needed a new hair straigtner and my aunt bought me one for xmas. my sister though, used hair products in it and it ruined the inside, its all burned and the plates are now black. it still works but i wish it wouldnt have gotten so ruined. i need a new one. i prefer the bigger flat irons since my hair is so thick, i recommend it to anyone with long thick hair.posted Apr 7, 2007Link to this post

PrincessDetroit, MichiganHairCurly HairCon Air Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!I have the MAXIglide. I really fell in love with it when I saw the commercial! Then I got it in the mail and Im not as in love with it as I was when I saw the commercial!? I am of the Puerto Rican Decent also and I have REALLY curly hair but its thin so MAXIglide just made it really flat and made it look thinner. I always had CON AIR flat irons, and they realy worked and still do work for me. So i think I will stick with them!!!! MAXIglide is not for every one you know!posted Apr 5, 2007Link to this post

EllaChicago, Il.HairCurly HairIt Was Great While It Lasted!I bought the maxiglide a year and a half ago after watching the demonstration on t.v. I was skeptical at first about it working so good. After using it for the first time I was very satisfied. It used to take me over an hour to straighten my curly hair with the cheaper flat irons. With the maxiglide it took me only 30 minutes at most. Last week my maxiglide died in the middle of straightening my hair. It wouldnt heat up all the way and the blue light wouldnt stop flashing. I am very sad since it didnt last very long and my warranty is up. I just bought a chi flat iron and I hope this product will work as good as the maxiglide but will last a lot longer.posted Apr 4, 2007Link to this post

Monica SBostonThe Product Comes With No Warrnaty!I bought a maxiglide in 2004 when theyd constantly advertise the product on TV. I shouldve done a little research before buying the product. After about two months after purchasing the product for some reason the blue light kept flashing and never stayed stable. Later it just wouldnt work! I contacted the website from where Id purchased the product and the lady I spoke to told me that the hair straightner came with NO WARRANTY. Even a $20 conair hair straightner comes with a one year warranty. When I saw the product on TV it looked an sounded so promising. And ofcourse it burns your scalp if the heat is high... I remember on the TV ad they show it on mannequins that it doesnt damage the scalp... OFCOURSE it does. I was very unhappy with the product overall... It was a total waste of my hard earned money.posted Apr 2, 2007Link to this post

SueNYCGreat At First; Now Hair Sticks To PlatesI have wavy hair and have always dreamed of straight hair. I had thought about Japanese Hair Straightening, but the cost and upkeep were out of my league. At first the Maxi Glide worked GREAT! I was so excited that I could finally have straight hair, do it myself, and without worrying about harsh chemicals in my hair. A year and a half later, the coating on the plates is coming off. As a result, my hair now doesnt glide through the iron, but will get stuck on the plates. Even though I comb out the knots before use, my hair also breaks in the detangling pins.posted Mar 29, 2007Link to this post
