Conair Infiniti Ionic Steam Straightener

JackieMariettaHairBlackFine or Thin HairThick or Coarse HairConair Infiniti Ionic Steam StraightenerAfter months of researching this product. I finally purchased it. I decided to follow all the instructions. I purchased 1 gallon Destilled Water for 88c or 99c. This steam straightener heats up to tempature of 395. I first used it on my daughters nature thick hair (15, 12 and 10 year olds natural hair). The result was super straight hair, shinny and very soft mosituring hair. I used this on my girl friends her she said she could not keep her fingers out of her hair. I told her to be real careful with this as it gets real hot. This picture is of my friend natural hair. My hair is relaxed. I use African Royale Hot Six Oil and infusion spray.posted Nov 13, 2011Link to this post

MemeHairMedium BrownFine or Thin HairWell! Well! Well! This product has a Great look! But notice it runs out of water that it steams with very quickly has to keep stopping to refill. Leaves hair feeling soft but I also notice it still be dry on the ends of my hair. I really expected to notice a big difference with the steamers than I normally gets with the regular flat irons but I didnt get it.posted Aug 2, 2011Link to this post

Allie D.HairAuburnNormal HairUmmm Idkok so when i first got this it worked really well..... but then it sorta was turning into one of those 5.99 straightners you find at cvs. i mean it totally depends on your hair and what you think but no i would not say ohh hey go out and bye this. i mean it is the best one i have ever used and thats why i do like it but i mean it stays perfecty straight for maybe 1 hour. helpposted Jun 16, 2011Link to this post

EmilyHairDark BrownCurly HairThick or Coarse HairPretty GoodI bought mine off the official conair website and paid $70.00 which was way too much. It straightened pretty well on my hair in the beggining. I mean it was really straight but it lost its heat near the end and thats what i dont like. If you have naturally straight hair it works really well trust me but with my curly thick hair its ehh.posted May 27, 2011Link to this post

Danielle H.CaliforniaHairMedium BrownDry HairColor Treated HairThick or Coarse HairChemically Treated HairSomething That Finally Tammed My Frizzy Hair....I've tried just about every flat iron. From cheap to very very expensive. This is even better than the best one I had found, the Croc (gets very very hot, up to 450, but can also singe your hair if you stop on it for over a second or so). The Conair Infiniti Ionic Steam Straightener not only straightened my hair quickly, it's never been more soft afterwards. I LOVE IT!!! Actually ran out and bought an extra one, just in case...:O)posted Apr 8, 2011Link to this post

Debbie H.WVHairBlondeDry HairCurly HairColor Treated HairThick or Coarse HairInstead Of Water I Use Chi Keratin Leave In ConditionerI have had this iron for over a year.. Used with water, was not impressed. It has been stored. Seen the Joico K-PAK ReconstrRx VaporIron that you put the k-pak liquid in gave me the idea.. What if I put a leave in conditioner in the chamber instead of distilled water???.. So I had the Chi, keratin leave in conditioner and added it instead of water. I used it last night and my hair looked great.. I have thick, very (perm like) curly hair that tends to be course, dry and frizzy after blow drying.I mean my hair is so curly that during the summer I put some product in it and wear natural and everybody thinks I have had a perm. I always blow dry with a round brush after shampooing.. My hair looked healthier, and shinier after I used the iron with the conditioner in the chamber. I don't know if the liquid will damage the flat iron or not, but better than it being stored away and not being used. After all it did cost over 100.00 when first came out.. So for now at least I am using it. When I used water, was not the least bit impressed with the iron.posted Feb 21, 2011Link to this post

Hannie(again)CanadaHairMedium BrownNormal HairMeh.I wrote a review about this about a month ago. Like I said in that review, it worked like a charm. WorkED. Now it's beginning to dry out my ends, make my hair staticky, and just make it look like a dry, split ended mess when it's not styled. Even after I got a haircut. But, on the good side, it does keep my hair straight the whole day~ I don't know, though. It may work well in the beginning, but constant use, even with protecting spray and sirums, kills my hair sooo bad. Think first about your budget and how often you're going to use this before buying. I myself am probably going to sell it and get an adorable little Solia that everybody is fawning over.posted Feb 1, 2011Link to this post

Jo W.MNHairDark BrownDry HairCurly HairThick or Coarse HairNot Bad But...When I first started straightening my hair in 8th grade, I used to get Wet-2-Straight, which worked fine. The only thing was, they kept breaking after about a year, or the finish would wear off the plates, so I decided to try this one instead. At the time, it was $100+ from Target, and I got it as a birthday present I think. It worked fine, straightened my hair well, and typically stayed pretty straight. I used it for about 2 years, maybe 3, and I never had a problem with how well it straightened my hair. Then last year, it started giving off a terrible burnt hair smell. It wasn't that my hair was burning though, because it would start giving off that smell the second I turned it on before I used it on my hair. I don't know if it was a short or what, but it was unbearable, so I ended up getting the Solia 1-1/4" flat iron at the end of this past summer, and it works great! The Conair one also started really drying out my hair by the time I stopped using it and gave me a lot of split ends... To be fair, I never used distilled water with it. Ever. I didn't really get how to use it, and it seemed pointless because the iron seemed to work fine without it anyway.posted Dec 27, 2010Link to this post

HannieCanadaHairMedium BrownOily HairThick or Coarse HairAmazingKay, so I just got this straightener as a birthday present.
I honestly thought it would be some cheep scam, but I tried it, and my hair looks just like I just went to the stylist. Seriously, this thing works like a charm.posted Dec 15, 2010Link to this post
