AnmHairCurly HairBad For Curly HairI got this flat iron for christmas. At first i was very excited about it because i thought it would work a lot better than my one i got from target, but i was wrong. My hair is fairly curly, not like insane though, and when i tried straightening it with this iron at first it worked pretty well, but probably only like 1 hour later my hair was pretty much back to how before i straightened it. It made my hair less poufy than my iron from target but the plates dont stay together very well. and it doesnt last very long.posted Apr 28, 2007Link to this post

TNew York, NYBest Price AnywhereI bought my first one of this brand and model over five years ago and it still heats up quickly, and evenly. The outside plastic case has suffered many falls and has cracked, but I am able to replace it here for much less than I paid years ago. I just bought four to give as gifts. The free pouch is an unheard of bonus that just adds nicely to the valueposted Apr 19, 2007Link to this post

IveSan Juan, Puerto RicoGreat Product - And For A Small Price!I have long, curly, frizzy, ethnic hair and I could either style it "stick straight" or flip out (or in) the ends. In the picture, I had styled it the day before. I did not have time the morning the picture was taken to style it, so I just ran my fingers through it and ran out the door. You can see it still looks very straight. One time I let my hair air dry for about an hour and a half, but since I have a lot of hair (the equivalent of three people), it was still quite wet. I applied the usual products to protect the hair and then used the iron. It took longer than if the hair was dry, but it worked perfect and no damage to the hair. I would do this only in "emergencies" though. I bought this flat iron two and a half years ago and used it almost daily. After traveling constantly with me, it broke recently. I went to buy the same one but they had raised the price at Ulta - $59!!! I decided to buy a different brand with a similar style, but it proved to be the worst, less than a month and it broke, it literally fell apart. I will go again tomorrow, return it and buy this Hot Tools iron again. It heats up fast and has constant heat. When you style your hair, remember to do small sections of hair, I noticed that a lot of women try to do big chunks of hair at a time and it doesnt work that way (no matter what brand you use).posted Apr 11, 2007Link to this post
