    So-so
I have thick, curly hair that has been processed way too many times. At first this iron is great...couple weeks after using it your hair thins and starts to break. It beings to look dull. They last in between 1-2 years as Ive found owning several in the past. They have warrantys. Save your receipt in case they break or the plates start to seperate and rip your hair out as it catches. If you have fairly straight, and easy to manage hair Id say go for it. Otherwise spend a little more. Youll be happy you did.

    Great Iron
I have been using hot tools for years. The iron gets my thick curly hair very staright. The only problem is that if you drop it, they do crack. The service at folica.com was excellant. I recieved my product the next day!

Dont Leave In Carry Case On.
It is a really great iron for the price. One recommendation, dont turn it on and leave it in the carry case. It will melt.

    Not That Good!!!
I bought this flat iron about 3 yrs. ago (it broke this past summer), but it worked ok at first took a long time to do my hair and I have thin curly hair! but after a while it just didnt work that good. Really damaged my hair, and as soon as I got it the plates were moving out of place! Plus it was relly bulky and hard to move around my thin hair! I would not recomended this product to anyone!!!

My sisters and I all have different kinds of hair. All of our hair is about 5 inches below the shoulders. My sister Sierra has very tight curls and extremely frizzy hair. My other sister Macky has very thin but frizzy hair. I, Josie have loose curls and a little frizz. We tested this iron on all of our hair, using only shampoo and conditioner. Here are the results:Sierra- Took about 2 hours to do whole head. Straightness went away after about 3 hours.Macky- It took 30 minutes to do her. Straightness went away 5 hours later.Me, Josie- It took me about 1 hour to do my hair. The straightness went away 5 hours later.ALL OF US- All of our hair remained poofy and frizzy. However, this straightener worked the best for Macky and I.If you have hardcore frizzy curly hair, you shouldnt buy this iron. But if your hair has loose curls, waves, and is a little frizzy, this iron would be best for you. Its cheap and provides excellent results. The only problem is that the straightness goes away quickly :(

    Okay Product
Ive been using this hair straightner for years now...not knowing that it has been the reason for all my hair problems. The product works great for straightning but, I loose so much hair when Im using it & I also have a lot of dead ends because of it. Also, Ive gone through so many of these irons thats its ridiculous....When I first bought this product it said Ceramic flat iron on the box...then most recently when I bought a new one it said "Gold Metal Plated"...seeing that was my answer to why I have so many problems with my hair. Overall, the product is good....but, not worth all the damage that it has done to my hair over the past 5 years.

    Hot Tools
I have been using Hot Tools for almost 5 years now. I love it! It does a great job turning my thick, course, and curly hair into a sleek and straight style. The only downfall is that sometimes your hair gets caught between the plates and the piece that holds them. The flat iron lasts for years! A very good purchase.

    Excellent Straightener
I had a straightener for a while, which didnt do anything but waste my time and unstraighten my hair within 5 minutes of using it. I have thick wavy/curly hair, and it takes me unusually long to straighten my hair. I also hate using hair products because I dont like too much "stuff" in my hair. But this straightener works magic. My hair is beautifully straight, but not that pin straight look which I hate...It adds body to my hair and its satin soft to the touch. I cant help playing with my hair constantly. And the best part is that my hair remains straight until my next wash, unlike my old straightener with which 5 mins later it went back to its curls. Ive had it for a couple of months now and absolutely love this straightener. DEFINITELY worth the price!!!
