KittyUnited StatesHairLight BrownColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairImpressedI am really impressed with this flat iron. I have tried many different irons. From Chi to Sedu. First of all this is cheaper but don't let that fool you, this is definetely a professional iron. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of where the buttons on, you can get the digital one to lock so it's not really a problem and they sell the exact one with a dial instead and the buttons are underneath. I like the look and results much more than any chi i have used. Not to knock chi but i just overall prefer this one. It straightens and curls with no snagging of my hair and I love it.posted Dec 23, 2011Link to this post

Charae G.San Jose, CAHairBlackDry HairCurly HairNot As Good As The Solia TourmalineMy hair: Black/Asian mix hair, very curly, kinks easily, down to mid-back, soft, dry, difficult to hold a heated curl.
For washing: Tresemme Deep Cleansing Shampoo and Anti-Breakage Conditioner
Pros: It gets hot fast, has a digital read, and you can lock the digital read on/off button and straighten your hair without worrying about changing the temp by accident. The titanium plates are easy to keep clean as well. It does curls really well too.
Cons: It snags hair more than my Solia does, so a heat protectant will be very necessary if you use this. It can take two to three runs to get straight - adding more time to your styling. The curls don't stay too long. The digital read can get a little loose, but it never comes out or breaks.
I've had this flat iron for two years now.posted Dec 16, 2011Link to this post -
Natalie C.United StatesHairBlondeNormal HairColor Treated HairIt Was OkI gave this flat iron such a high rating, because it definitely straightened my hair well, but I have straight easy to manage hair and it didn't do anything my cheaper straightener didn't do just as well. For someone with curly hair, it might be amazing! But with my hair I didn't need to spend the money for the same results.posted Aug 10, 2011Link to this post

MeganHairDark BrownCurly HairAmazinggggg!i got this flat iron 2 years ago at a hair convention for school. My first impression is that it did not feel cheap or plasticy. It worked so well, my hair was straight and smooth. The only problem was i would bump the button thing all the time and it would turn on and off, but problem solved, their is a lock button :) soo all is good now. I even ordered my friend one for her birthday and she loves it.posted Dec 7, 2010Link to this post

KathyLoveland, OHGreat Iron!!!Not too long ago, I went to my hair stylist for a new look. I got a new cut, color, and highlights. I felt and looked like a new woman. I couldnt believe how great my hair looked and was curious to find out what products she used on my hair. To my surprise it was a Hot Tools straightener! I immediately went out the next day and purchased one of my own. I have four sisters that will be getting the iron as a Christmas gift this year!posted Oct 14, 2009Link to this post

JenniferClevelandWorth The MoneyGood product for the price. I noticed if I pull it through my hair too fast it snags a little. I don't like the positioning of the temp controls because it seems i'm constantly hitting them with my thumb when i'm using it. But in the end it does do a great job straightening my hair and you really can't beat the price for a straightener that has a digital read out.posted Sep 5, 2009Link to this post
