Hot Tools 1

CindyMedford, ORGood For A Cheap IronI have a friend that is a hairstylist and swears by Hot Tools. She picked this up for me about a year ago. I have never been happy with it. It snags my hair, creases it, takes quite a bit of effort to get it straight (and my hair is fairly straight as it is). My daughter feels the same way about it. A few weeks it stopped heating up. It will warm up, but it takes about 20 minutes and is not the 430 degrees that it is supposed to be. I asked my hairstylist about an iron today (not my friend stylist) and she said that Hot Tools arent worth the money and recommends the Chi so I purchased one. Hopefully it will be much better because the Hot Tools isnt a whole lot better than the store irons.posted May 16, 2009Link to this post

ClariceWonderfulThis is the best straightener Ive ever used. It gets my hair straight and shiny. Great for short hair. Truly the best iron for my hair that Ive found. Ive been doing my own hair for several years, and this is a great iron for not too much money.posted Apr 29, 2009Link to this post

VanessaNew YorkGreat!!I love it! I just bought it and when I used it it made my hair so silky and soft. I have very wavy hair and I got bored with it so I decided to go back to straightening my hair because I used to a long time ago. I think that this is the best product and it is better then the Maxiglide. I used that in the past and didnt like it. People stop complaining it is not poor.posted Apr 15, 2009Link to this post

KeriOklahoma City, OKGood ProductIve had my straighter for close to 5 years and have always had great results. I was really surprised at all the negative reviews. The only reason Im looking for a new one is because I dropped the iron one to many times and the cover for the dial has broken off. Great flat iron for the money. Not as quite as good as a CHI, but a whole lot cheaper!posted Mar 18, 2009Link to this post

MelissaHorribleI had an Ion straightner before and I LOVED it. I have very crazy hair, so I have to have a good straightner for my hair to do anything. I got this as a replacement when mine died and I hate it. It doesnt stay hot, nor does it straighten my hair as well as my Ion did. I dont recommend this for anyone, horrible.posted Dec 27, 2008Link to this post

ShelbyNot Good. This flat iron does not work well. My hair looked better when I didnt own a flat iron! With my thick hair, I need the highest setting (430 degrees) and it takes 2 MINUTES to heat up! It also makes my hair frizzy and poofy, and it broke my hair and gave me split ends! I can literally hear it breaking my hair. It also snags my hair, and leaves a lot of creases. It leaves my hair straight for about 2 hours, then by the end of the school day I look in the mirror and my hair is wavy and poofy! Im going to get a new one and I would NOT recommend this. The only good thing I can say about this is that it is very durable, I have dropped it many times and it still works. Other than that, its not a good flat iron.posted Dec 23, 2008Link to this post

PatriciaFlemington, New JerseyOuchThis flat iron stinks. Horrible the plates are wrapped around the edges and its really easy to get burned. We hate it and now looking spend more money on another product, what a waste of money. Now we are shopping and looking at other peoples review to make and educated decision.posted Oct 3, 2008Link to this post

NickiHate It!I had a really good iron (dont remember the brand. Sorry) And unfortunately it suffered a really bad fall and broke. So I got this as a quick replacement. It supposedly goes up to over 400 degrees but it does nothing. I run it through my hair like I would with a normal iron and all it does is make my hair a hot dried out mess. It doesnt straighten it at all. I am returning it as soon as possible.posted Aug 7, 2008Link to this post
