BrandonGainesville, FLHairMedium BrownFine or Thin HairManage Your ExpectationsI have thin hair that is not curly. I simply use a straightener to smooth out waves and frizz and for a more polished look. I recently changed jobs and now take the bus to work. Living in Florida, the humidity is terrible, so by the time I get to work from waiting on the bus and walking to and from the bus stop my perfect hair is obliterated to say the least. I did some research online and looked at about 10 different types of cordless flat irons and decided to give this one a shot based on it having the best overall reviews amongst several websites. I give this item a four star rating based on my intended use and expectations. This is not my primary flat iron, I use a CHI to flatten my hair in the morning. This is simply a touch up tool for me to flatten out the fly-aways caused by the humidity. I do not recommend using this flat iron to straighten your hair completely at all. I do, however, think that it is great for what I am using it for. It does get hot, but don't expect it to be as hot as your CHI. The battery life seems pretty good to me so far. I only use it for 1-2 minutes at a time though. A major flaw is that it turns on in my bag all the time. I started removing the battery from it and putting the battery back in when I need to use it. That is pretty annoying, but it is a lot less annoying than having bad hair for a full work day. Also, it doesn't open as wide as a normal straightener and it does not spring back open when closed. I read a review that said that, but you just have to try it out to see what I mean. This is definitely something you can get used to though, but it will be weird your first few times. The charging station is really nice and it comes with an extra battery, which is great. You can also plug it in directly or into a car adapter, so I don't have to lug around a stupid converter. I go to the pool with friends a lot and it is great to be able to sneak off to a friends' bathroom and flatten out my hair when it dries without everyone making a big deal about it, or having to borrow someone's cheapo wal-mart one.
Again, don't buy this if you need a hair straigtener. Go buy a CHI digital flat iron for that (just don't get a fake one), but DO buy this flat iron if you have a use for it like me.posted Sep 15, 2010Link to this post -

MelissaCaliforniaPerfect Portable Flat Iron!I was a bit leary about ordering this because of the reviews that it got but I was looking for a cordless flat iron and there arent many out there to choose from. I have to say that I really like this iron and it does everything that I expect a portable iron to do. I have very curly, coarse and thick hair and this iron is perfect for quick touch ups. What I love the most is that I can take it with me where ever i go without having to worry about having an outlet to plug it into. It comes with everything you need for on the go hair touch ups. More accessories for it then any other travel iron I saw. I do agree with one comment about it not having a spring tension but besides that tiny issue which really doesnt affect the results, I couldnt ask for a better portable flat iron. It doesnt seem cheaply made at all. Heats up quickly. Love that it has a rechargable battery which lasts plenty of time for me to get the job done, and even comes with a car charger. I think it is well worth the 79.00 I spent on it. I will admit that I have NOT used this as a primary flat iron and have only used it for touch ups. If your looking for a cordless flat iron for a descent price, this may be the perfect iron for you like it is for me. Very happy with it.posted Sep 1, 2010Link to this post

ChloeAlabamaHairBlackColor Treated HairRelaxed HairSynthetic HairChemically Treated HairMore Than I ExpectedI have relaxed hair and this flat iron actually did a great job for me. I bought it off of another site for half the price so I really wasn't expecting too much from it, but while I was in school I used it pretty often and it straightened and curled my hair really well and my hair was shiny and did not appear at all damaged from the styling. The battery life lasts for a couple of days of quick styling and then it must be recharged but it comes with a spare battery so just recharge the other that's not in use and you won't miss a beat. The only thing is the opening between the plates isn't that wide so its a bit annoying if you're in a hurry, but otherwise its a pretty decent straightener. I have also dropped mine a lot of times and it hit the bathroom floor pretty hard because there was no chord to slow the fall so I wouldn't recommend it for everyday use, but on the other hand it is still working really well considering my clumsiness. Overall its a really cute flat-iron that you can take out for quick touch-ups and fixes.posted Jul 25, 2010Link to this post

Lisa M.MassHairFine or Thin HairFailure To DeliverMain complaint is durability. Neither battery will recharge from either source. Even invested in an ac adapter & still no luck. Only used about 8 times for short periods to straighten thin bangs in humidity. Can`t find exact battery to re-order & similar are running around $50. This on sale was over $100 2 yrs ago.
Handle is also not great shape for palms & easy to lose grip.
Great convenience when lacking power source & needed last minute touch ups but way too $$$ for durability length.posted Jul 11, 2010Link to this post -

L ADon't Waste Your Money...Product stopped working after 2 months. The flat iron would not charge from the base, nor would the flat iron charge directly from the electrical adapter! At $150.00 a pop...this product is most unsatisfactory and unacceptable.posted Dec 26, 2008Link to this post
