Hot Tools Ceramic Flat Iron (1")

MelNot So GoodIve used hot tools items for years. However, this was a bad investment. Ive had this straightening iron for less than a year and all of a sudden it stopped working. I also agree with the other reviews about it pulling your hair. Not a good buy.posted May 6, 2007Link to this post

MelisaHairCurly HairAwesomeI have naturally curly hair and this is one of the best straighteners I have used. After using it, no one would be able to guess it is not naturally straight. It is very hot, but you can adjust the heat settings. It has a great handle to grasp the hair tightly while straightening. My old straightener got the job done, but seemed to not grip the hair tight enough to straighten it as much as I would have liked. My hair feels so much softer and after using this straightener, I have had to many compliments about my hair.posted Apr 24, 2007Link to this post

NikkiCincinnati OhioHairCurly HairSilkyI use 2 different straight irons(both hot tools) to straigten my daughters curly hair. I use the hot tools ceramic iron last and it makes my daughter hair straight and shiny.posted Apr 18, 2007Link to this post

BrookeLiberty, MOHairLong HairNot ReliableI have had this straightener for about a year. The purple ceramic paint is chipping off, it burns whatever you set it on because the plates wrap around. The straightener also pulls my hair ALL OF THE TIME. I have very long hair, to my lower back, so ladies with long hair ... DO NOT BUY.posted Apr 11, 2007Link to this post

MeghanMiamiHairDry HairNot Worth The Price. After my first Hot Tools flat iron didnt heat up anymore, I decided to buy this one, figuring it would be better. I was wrong. If anything, I would buy the Hot Tools straightener that was cheaper ($19.99 vs $39.99)This ceramic straightener refuses to keep your hair straight, conjures very frizzy hair, and makes it feel very tangled. Also, it yanks your hair out while straightening, and turns off without you knowing which is a pain in the neck. I do not request buying this straightener, it is a waste of money.posted Apr 10, 2007Link to this post

JulieEhit was great at first but the paint or what ever that purple stuff on the plates is gradually burned off,and smells really bad every time it heats up. in the long run if you dont have great heat protection that you use all the time your hair will become broken and dry. The design is poor and my hair gets caught in the clamp at the bottom and breaks. If not that the handle is located over the on/off button and squeezing it to hard to get the plates to meet up results in it turning off. straighten my hair should not be so frustrating. If it didnt have such a poor design maybe it would be worth it.posted Apr 5, 2007Link to this post

VickiProduct ReviewI owned the previous version of this straightener and I loved it, however, the new version does not work as well as its original design. The two plates dont meet very well and have to be pressed together tightly with all your strength just to get an average result. I wish Hot Tools would go back to their original design.posted Mar 29, 2007Link to this post

JenMilitary Family OverseasVery Happy!!!I bought this after I had my hairdresser used it - same brand and all... It works really well. Every once and a while it pulls a hair - but it is great - and a great price. I use it 1-2 times a week - my hair is medium curly.posted Mar 19, 2007Link to this post
