Hot Tools Ceramic Flat Iron (1")

KatieEau Claire, WIYou Get What You Pay ForWhen I first got this iron, I was very happy with it. It is definately better than the conair ones (and others comparable in price.) Shortly after I bought it, the purple paint started chipping off. It also pulled my hair everytime you use it. Sometimes it would even shut off for no reason at all. If you dont have a lot of money, and youre not looking for a huge investment this iron would work for you. But, if youre like me, and you straighten your hair everyday, opt for a higher quality product.posted Nov 27, 2005Link to this post

ErikaVentura, CASpend Your Money On A Better Iron!I have very curly, coarse hair, and when I first bought my Hot Tools iron, it worked great. However, after a month or so, the purple paint on the plates started to chip off and it started to fry my hair. It burns everything you set it on, it pulls hairs out like crazy, and after a few months, it just doesnt work that well. You get what you pay for... dont waste your moneyposted Nov 24, 2005Link to this post

LauraOhioHorrible!!!First thing I would like to say is OUCH! This flat iron is a torture device... I used it for about a month because i didnt want to feel like i wasted my money but I just could not take it anymore! the store let me return it. It burned me more times than any other flat iron I have used (which is a lot!) and it pulled my hair every single time I used it. The girls at the store where I returned it said that there have been a lot of people saying the same things. PLEASE save yourself the pain and suffering and get a different flat iron! :)posted Nov 17, 2005Link to this post

Natalie AntranikValley Stream, NyGreati absolutley love it. it works great on my hair which is a true acomplishment. i have banana curlz and this think just ringed them out. it works really well. it not a wet hair iron so if youre looking for it to work when your hair is wet this is not for you it makes a wonderful sizzleing sound when your hair is even the slightest wet. other than that AMAZING! i definitly recommend it. it works just as well as those high end $200 irons.posted Nov 11, 2005Link to this post

KatieNot Worth It!!!This is my third straightner, and I miss my old ones!!! I burned my self with this one so many times, and never had a problem with my other ones. My hair gets caught in it almost everytime I use it, its very cheaply made, and definitely doesnt work as good as my old ones!!! If your thinking about buying this, I would think again!!!posted Nov 11, 2005Link to this post

NickieDon't Even BotherLike many of the other reviewers, I had good luck with this straightener at first, however now, it does more bad to my hair than good. Mine lasted about a month before the thick cord started getting tangled. About 4 months later, I had to throw mine away because the cord stopped sending electricity to work the iron. I bought a new one, thinking that if I take better care of the cord this wont happen. Mistake, dont buy the hair straightener, please.posted Nov 1, 2005Link to this post

JenChicago, ILNot GreatThis flat iron was disappointing. When I first bought it, it smoked for a few days. It often snags my hair and the "convenience clip" gets in the way. More importantly, it does not stay hot. My hair is not even curly, and it would take me a long time to straighten it. I would recommend this to anyone who has thin hair or is just looking to add sheen - if you actually need your hair to straighten you may want to invest in something else.posted Oct 31, 2005Link to this post

KileyVirginiaIt Worked Great But It Broke Easily!I have thick wavy hair, and it worked great, yet it took about 45 minutes to finish. I had it for about a year, and it snapped in half. I liked how it worked on my hair so much that I bought the same one again. Yet again, the second one i bought also snapped in half.posted Oct 31, 2005Link to this post
