TanyaCape Coral, FLTerribleI just bought this iron, I have only owned it for a week and my old Revlon $25 iron worked better. It snags and pulls out your hair and leaves a dull finish.I am returning it right away!posted Jan 20, 2006Link to this post

MeaPennsylvainiaNot Really Worth The MoneyIf you are serious about having shiny, straight , healthy hair then I urge any one who is condsidering buying this probuct not to waste money on this cheap thing! It doesnt deliver fantastic results and is pretty Damaging to your hair mine started to break after about 9 months of gentle use. Get Sedu instead it is the best I have ever found.posted Jan 17, 2006Link to this post

AnnaWyndmoor, PAStraightens Hair But Is Awkward, Heavy And Hair Gets Caught In Grooves.I bought two of these for my daughters. Their long hair would always become caught in the groove where the heating plate meets the plastic part of the iron. They would have to stop and reposition the hair to prevent further pulling. The iron was also awkward and heavy to use. I bought myself the Solia for $88 (which we all love) and am now buying two more for my daughters. I will keep the hot tools for our vacation house since at least it does straighten the hair well- save us lugging irons back and forth.posted Jan 13, 2006Link to this post

JaniceGardendale, ALPulls HairThe irons work well and are a good size. The disappointment is that the grooves between the iron and the body of the tool catch hair and break it off or pull it out. It is very frustrating to use because of this.posted Jan 13, 2006Link to this post

RLakewood, CoMade My Teenage Daughter Happy!!My daughter was going through that phase where you hate your hair--you know--if its straight you want curly, if its curly you want straight. Hers is kind of in betweencurly and straight and she would prefer it straight. She had tried many products, tools and procedures and was never satisfied until a friend recommended Hot-Tools Ceramic products. I ordered the ceramic flat iron for her for Christmas and when she came downstairs with longer, smooth and shiny straight hair and a smile from ear-to-ear, I almost didnt recognize her!posted Jan 13, 2006Link to this post

KristenSurf CitySo-so But Not Worth Itafter using my friends identical straightner i asked her for the same one for my birthday. i loved it at first and it worked well for a couple months. however it later started to ware out and the so called cermaic was chipping off. the places that werent coated with the purple ceramic completely burned, frizzed, damaged, friend, and killed my hair. I was forced to replace it and i found the SOLIA which i love now and reccommend. By this hot tools straighnter if your hair is wavy (like mine) but u dont straighten it very often and are on a budget.posted Jan 4, 2006Link to this post

ShirineMediocre Price For A Mediocre Flat IronI have had this flat iron for about a year now, it still works, but not well at all. Maybe a few months of use later the ceramic had began to come off. And after this soon followed numerous, numerous split ends along with hairs turning half-sized from before the use. I now have numerous fly aways, split-ends, and dry, coarse hair. The flat iron lasted for awhile, but next time Ill invest in a better product, one that will last more than a few months and leave me satisfied with my hair.posted Dec 23, 2005Link to this post

LaurenGeorgiaIt Only Lasted Three Months!!I am very disapointed with the Hot Tools Ceramic Straightner. After a few weeks the paint began chipping and then after three months it would not heat at all. It was a terrible investment. My sister also has one and the paint is completley worn away. It did straighten my hair great for the little while that it worked. If you are looking for a straightner that doesnt last long this one is PERFECT!posted Dec 13, 2005Link to this post

SmAustin, TxChipping AwayI recieved this for my birthday, I had it for only a 6 months. I have had to send it back, the purple ceramic coating started to come off, I contacted Hot Tools and they allowed me to send it back, and sent me a new one, no charge. However, within 4 months the plates came off again, it has not burned my hair, but that is because of the products that I use when straightening. I am so disappointed. I am glad to know that I am not the only one that has had this problem, I thought that it was something that I was doing.posted Dec 8, 2005Link to this post

JVancouver, Bc.Horrid!Terrible iron! I paid 130$ (Canadian) for this, and all it did was (literally) give me a headache. It pulled out at least 50 hairs from my head, and burnt me. The plates are stupidly curved so that the heat actually can scald your head if you put it too close. Horrid waste of money. Thank god I was able to return it!posted Dec 3, 2005Link to this post
