HAI Stik Ceramic Flat Iron

Fam ClayMilton Keynes, United KingdomSome Things Are The Same All Over The WorldLike the mom from Texas who reviewed this Stik Ceramic Flat iron after buying it for her son. I too bought it for my son who has a mop of curly hair and wants it straight. They are just great and so easy to use, his sister and her friends, who at first teased him about a boyhaving straightners, keep borrowing them for themselves apparently they are very good for fringes (bangs) and even better for ringlett curls!posted Sep 11, 2006Link to this post

AdrianaLos Angeles, CALove It!I just bought this HAI Stik because it is the one my hairdresser uses. It heats up super-quickly, and after one time of going over my hair, it is sleek and smooth. No flyaways! If I put some serum in, my hair feels really healthy. I get tons of compliments every time I straighten my hair with this - and it takes less than 10 minutes!posted Sep 6, 2006Link to this post

LsTexasMom To The RescueI bought this iron for my teenage son who asks me timidly to straighten his hair several mornings a week. We tossed the old iron from the department store in the trash because this iron worked so well. It takes just a few mintues to get his thick, curly hair smoothed down. (I like his curly hair, but he likes it smooth.) Both ways, hes gorgeous, and were extrememly happy with this iron.posted Sep 6, 2006Link to this post

ShibellaVAGreat For A 'firsttimer'Im new to flat irons. Cant believe it took me so long to purchase one for myself! I really never liked to use heat on my hair. I never thought to flat iron my hair after washing and drying. Im African American with coarse, wavy, mixed up hair...lol (love my hair but not the time it takes to get it right..you know?) and I would go through the tedious JOB of washing and then wrapping overnight or sitting under the dryer to allow it to dry while wrapped. That would be fine but sometimes not because I wasnt very good at wrapping and would end up with the top being puffed up...lol. I take care of my own hair and its very healthy because I do it myself I believe. I was turned on the flat irons by a friend and was told that the Hai was one of the best. So I thought Id tried it. I save so much time on my hair now. I just wash, airdry and then flat iron! Takes so much less time and its not damaging at all. My hair is straight for up to a week without having to redo it if I do it right the first time. Ive become very good at it...Love the Hai! Wish I had photos...but plese take my word..this flat iron is great! Im going to purchase the Hai Twig next to touch up root hairs better..but this one does get close to the root also..if you are wondering. I am just a perfectionist...lol.posted Aug 4, 2006Link to this post

BrittPennsylvaniaBad Chord!I completely agree with Christine who posted below me. I got my iron in December 2004 as a Christmas present after a stylist used it on me. It worked absolutely fine for so long until just last week when for some odd reason, the little red light inside would not stay lit when the chord was in certain positions. I cant even use the straightener anymore because it doesnt stay on. It was nothing I had done to it either because the same thing happened to the iron my stylist used and she warned me that the chord was fragile. So I was always sure to take good care of it. My stylist said that her husband had fixed hers in some way, but I dont know anyone who can fix mine or how they would even fix it. Im very disappointed. This was a great iron and ALWAYS worked wonderfully. I want to buy another HAI but I dont want this same problem to reoccur!posted May 13, 2006Link to this post

Christine29 Palms, CAGood Straightener, Bad Chord!I purchased this straightener in March 2005, after a hairstylist used it on my hair. This was my first "expensive" iron and it left my old Helen of Troy metal iron in the dust. The Hai Stik worked wonders for my hair, leaving it shiney and straight. I would straighten it every other or every three days and my hair looked good without touchups on the days in between. I would just wash it the night before, let it air dry and straighten the next day, without the aide of products (I have learned this is bad for the hair, though). I have thick, long, curly hair and it took me about 30 minutes to straighten. This iron was great!Skip forward a year and one month... The iron stopped working while I was using it. Upon inspection, I noticed that a little red light inside would not stay lit when the chord was not in a certain position. Luckily, I was able to finish that last straightening job but it was tedious since the heat would go off. My husband is an electronics specialist in the marine corps, so I gave it to him to fix. Upon testing it, he told me how bad of a design it was and it wasnt through anything I did that it broke. We had hoped to just replace the chord, but it was not that easy so I now need to buy a new iron or continue wearing my hair in a bun. I would really like to buy another hai, but I do not want it to just last through the warrenty period and then stop working. I bought this iron for $120 at the time and I do not want to spend that money every year. I had hoped that it would last at least a few years.Morale of the story: The Hai Stik gets the job done and it does it well. BUT, if you do not want to replace it every year, dont buy it.posted May 10, 2006Link to this post

S. BorstChicagoWorth Your Money!I bought this Hai stick 6 months ago and I really love it! I recommend it to everyone. The price is just right. It leaves the hair soft and silky! It heats up in 60 seconds and its also very safe to use. I have never burned myself so far.posted Apr 29, 2006Link to this post
