ErPretty Good, But The Sedu Is BetterI liked this flat iron but not as much as I like the Sedu. I've tried the Chi, the Hai, Solia, and the Sedu.... The Sedu is still the winner in my mind. It goes very smoothly over my hair, whereas with the other flat irons I felt pulling and heard snapping/breaking of my hair. The Hai is probably my second favorite, but the 1" plates were too small for my long, thick hair and ended up taking too long to flat iron my entire head. Overall a pretty good flat iron but I would pick the Sedu over this one.posted Nov 3, 2010Link to this post

Christina C.Virginia, USAHairMedium BrownDry HairCurly HairThick or Coarse HairMagicalThis is the first professional iron I've ever purchased so I have nothing but cheap Walmart type irons to compare it to. Nonetheless, both my Mum and I have used it since I got it and we both absolutely love it. We think the results are magical. The hair flows through the iron seamlessly with no pulling or tugging. It has a temp. dial for controlling the setting and even when the iron reaches the hottest 400 degree temperatures, it's designed to make it difficult to truly burn your hands or the person you're working on. Just remember not to touch the hair immediately after it comes out of the iron. Speaking of heat, it heats up real quick, which is great too. You are able to turn it on right when beginning combing and sectioning the hair into T parts and it's hot by the you're done. It also worked fine after being dropped at least once so far.posted Nov 1, 2010Link to this post

AndreaHairBlondeFine or Thin HairGreat For Fine HairI am only giving this four stars because I've only been using it for about a month and I feel like I probably haven't given it the proper amount of time to write a review. BUT I love it so far- I have very fine, long blonde hair and this straightener doesn't snag or burn (adjustable heat, super helpful). My hair looks very shiny and healthy.posted Oct 18, 2010Link to this post

Kelly K.HairDry HairCurly HairFine or Thin HairNothing Remarkable.I have fine curly hair, and bought this iron sometime in January of this year. At first I was in love with it, but I did not take into account that it was January and I was in DC, not in Miami, meaning there was almost no humidity and the weather was great.
When I finally got home to Miami this iron did not at all hold up with the humidity. I ended up going back to my chi all summer. Now I'm back in DC and used it for the first time since summer, and with all confidence I can say that this iron is simply "okay". It's not terrible, in good weather it works great, but with the slightest bit of humidity its all gone. Also, it only makes my split ends look even more split. The ceramic tugs sometimes, it doesn't glide very smoothly.
I'm a little upset I spend about $80 on this....
Also the heat protection spray does not work well.
